Re: Memory card slot on motorola mb216 not reading
Please clean the contacts of the memory card and try again. If problem persists try another card to check, if it still fails, take it to a service centre

Take out the memory card from the card slot, by one side of the card, you would see a protect lock. It is in the locked position, move it in the other direction to unlock the write or read protect lock. Then you can re-insert the card into the phone and format it.
Hope that was helpful to you? Thank you for using FixYa.
There could be 2 problem.. either your memory card has been corrupted or memory card slot has been stopped functioning...
hope this has helped you,,,
thanks...
and remember to select FAT otherwise ur card wont be detected by ur phone,if it doesnt work then do the same thing by selecting FAT32. Another reason might be ur card slot is loose try to rise the pins up but be cautious not to damage the pins
if it wont work then u hv a problem with ur mobile hardware so contact technician.
Are you using Micro SD transflsh memory?? Format the Card on the PC using FAT, after that use a CARDREADER and
put these folders on the card: MOBILE and in the mobile folder put
audio, video, kjava, picture, temp! Shutdown your Motorola, remove the
backcover and plug-in the card! After that Start Your Motorola and copy
a file from the mobile's memory on the CARD! It should work!
Hope it Helped You,If so give an "High Five!" [;)]
There should be an alternate slot for the memory card to slip into besides the sim slot. just look it should be behind the battery cover but not behind the battery.
Sometimes the problem is the little lock that some memory cards bring .. , some other times if this does not work ..then it might be the card slot on the phone..or finally the same memory that is damaged
