Error Code: 51330 This error code usually indicates a problem relating to wireless security. Please try the following troubleshooting:

  1. Are you using WEP or WPA security on your router?
    1. Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance)
    2. Locate the "wireless security" section of your router settings and find the WEP or WPA key.
    3. If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    4. If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
    5. The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (0-9, A-F, no other special characters or letters).
    6. If your router has multiple slots for a WEP Key, make sure the active key is the one in the #1 slot.
    7. If you are using WPA, the Wii console is compatible with the following types:
      • WPA - PSK (TKIP)
      • WPA - PSK (AES)
      • WPA2 - PSK (AES)

  2. If your WEP or WPA key is correct, then the problem might be related to MAC address filtering:
    1. From the router settings, locate the "MAC address filter" settings (also known as "access control", "access list", or "network filter" depending on your router model).
    2. If the Mac address filter is set to "enabled", then you must add the Wii's MAC address to the "allowed" list. You can locate the Wii's MAC address from the "console information" page (located under "Internet" in the Wii Settings).
    3. If the Mac address filter was disabled, then continue troubleshooting.

  3. Check Nintendo's router info for special notes, if available, for your router.
    1. Click here to go to our Wireless Router lookup page.
    2. Use the drop-down box to select, if available, your router manufacturer.
    3. Click on your router's model number, if available.
    4. Read any "special notes" at the top of the router's page. Many issues can be solved by changing settings described in the "special notes."

  4. Try a "Manual Setup" with the Wii console (how to), using your network's IP configuration settings. To access these settings:
    1. On your PC, click "Start" and then "Run."
    2. Type "CMD" into the field that appears to open a new window.
    3. Type "IPCONFIG/ALL" and press "Enter" to display a list of internet settings. Locate the settings asked for by the Wii console during the Manual Setup process and enter them.

  5. Power cycle your router and modem by unplugging them both from the wall. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then turn on the router. Try to connect the Wii console online and test for proper response.

It appears that the wireless security pass code for your home network may have been changed or is entered incorrectly on the Wii console. Click here for more information about WEP and WPA security, including how to access the settings for your Access Point.
If your wireless network password isn't wrong, reply. Hope this helps somewhat.

I am trying to connect my wii to the internet and keep getting error 51330

Hello there ephilcar and welcome to FixYa. There are a couple outstanding issues that could result in your Nintendo Wii the 51330 error code. First lets start with your internet connection. Generally 51330 means that there is a problem with your Wii receiving information from the internet. You will need to find and write down your IP Address, Subnet Mask, DNS and Default Router numbers which can be done by the following below.

Windows XP Method

1- Locate the START icon on the lower left section of your screen and click it.

2- Select CONTROL PANEL.

3- Next click NETWORK AND INTERNET.

4- Click NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER.

5- In the left panel click CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS.

6- Double-click your wireless network connection by clicking on LOCAL AREA CONNECTION.

7- Select the DETAILS option.

8- Scroll down until you find your IPv4 ADDRESS.

Mac OS X Method

1- Click SYSYEM PREFERENCES.

2- Click NETWORK.

3- Under SHOW click select INTERNAL MODEM

4- Select TCP/IP

Now that you have your IP Address you will have to go to your Wii.

1- Turn on your Wii.

2- Click Wii Options in the lower left hand corner.

3- Next click the Wii Settings option.

4- Click the 2 on the lower right hand side of the screen to go to page 2 of your Wii options.

5- Click Internet.

6- Now click Internet.

7- Click Connection Settings.

8- Select the connection you wish to setup or already established.

9- Click the Change Settings button.

10- This page allows you to select the type of connection you wish to use. If your Wii was connecting in the past do not select anything on this page.

11- Click on the Right Arrow.

12- Click the Right Arrow once again.

13- When you see a screen that says Auto Obtain IP Address select No/Advanced Settings.

14- Now we are at the page that will allow you to enter the IP information that you have obtained.

15- Enter your IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Router information into the appropriate boxes.

16- After entering your information click Confirm.

17- We are back at the Auto-Obtain Ip Address page. Click the arrow pointing right to get to the next page.

18- Click the right arrow.

19- We are now back to the Auto Obtain DNS page so next you will select No/Advanced Settings button once again.

20- Enter your DNS information into the boxes.

20- Please note if you only have one DNS number enter it into the top box and leave the second one blank.

21- Click Confirm.

22- Click the right arrow once again please.

23- You should see a Proxy Server page. You do not want to change this value so please click the right arrow again.

24- Next you will see a MTU value page. Make sure this setting is set to 0 and click the right arrow once more.

25- Click OK to start the connection test.

26- The connection test should complete and you should be connected to the internet.

If this did not work for you there is also another reason people receive your particular error code. In some instances if you have a GameCube Memory Card inserted into the Wii during power up the Wii had on rare circumstances displayed this code. You could try removing the memory card and then restarting your system.

I hope you found this information helpful and I wish you the best of luck. Thank you for using FixYa.

Error code 52030

Unable to connect to your wireless network
Likely cause: It appears that the security settings entered into the Wii console are not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow, or your router is not able to assign the Wii an IP address.
How to fix: Make sure the security key and security type are entered into the Wii exactly as they appear in your router's settings; manually assign an IP address to the Wii.

Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again.

Connection to internet on wii system

try to set your channel to either 1 or 11.set also your router's broadcast setting to 'mixed'.place your wii near router with no interference from microwaves or such.if router setting is set up to allow only selected pc's (or mac addresses),don't forget to include wii's mac address to enable it to have access to the router.if your router password type is wpa, make sure also you know whether it's wpa-psk AES,wpa2-psk AES or wpa-psk TKIP,you need to consciously choose the right one on your wii internet setting.also, you could switch the dns ip addresses around like put 2nd ip address in primary and 1st ip address in secondary.no guarantees, hope this helps.
