Hello max ryan,
I understand that you had a power outage and now that power was restored, you have power inside the appliance but the freezer is not freezing and you can't hear the motor running. I would double check the breakers and make sure that they are on. You can also check the Temperature Control and make sure that it is not in the OFF position. If these solutions do not work, I would call the manufacturer for more help.

-Best Regards-

Freezer stopped after power outage

If the sides are hot, look at the defrost timer. Sounds like it has stopped running with the defrost elements on. The compressor has a safety switch on it that opens either if the compressor gets too hot or if it pulls too much current when starting. If your power flickered a lot before coming back on, that triggered the safety switch. Now that it's running normally, I wouldn't worry. The defrost timer is your problem now.

How do you get compressor running after power outage?

Hello AnnArborMom, thank you for your inquiry!

I would recommend you adjusting the temperature to a lower setting to see if that would start your compressor to cool. If that is not successful I would contact a professional to come and properly diagnose your appliance. It could be that the power outage shorted the main control board or relay. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Freezer not freezing

If you can hear the motor running it could be the thermostat that has gone or if there is no noise at all it could be the motor that has died, a good easy fix ( sometimes works ) is to turn the freezer off leave it for 24 hours with no power then try turning it on again.

Top half does not freeze

There is a fan behind the back wall of the freezer about 1/2 way up from the bottom, you should be able to hear this running when the freezer is on. If you do not hear this then you need a new evaporator fan motor.

If you hear the fan run then you most likely have a problem with the automatic defrost cycle that would most likely be the heat element that is located just below the coils inside the freezer behind the panel.

Freezer wont freeze - digital display has no display at all -

Melanie--

Because this occurred as a result of a power outage, you need to check that the outlet is OK. Plug something in the outlet like a lamp and see that it works normally. If that is OK, check the display for a light bulb that is burned out--incandescant bulbs do that occasionally in a power outage. If it is an LCD or LED display, the power supply is bad on the display board. Is the motor humming and making normal noises?--and your freezer is just not cooling? If no motor noise, look for a reliable and trustworthy appliance repair person. If the damage is costly, try to pursue a claim with the power company.

POWER LIGHT FLASHES ON / OFF

You need to install or change the battery for the power out freezer alarm. Mine was just doing the same thing. I looked on the web for the answer and couldn't find it. Opened the door to look for the model number and there was the diagram for the light flashing codes. Mine's battery compartment is in the grill on the bottom (right below the door) on the left side. Takes a 9v battery. I had a power outage recently and it must have killed the battery after beeping for several hours.
