Screen shows blur on screen - Olympus Mju Tough 8000 Compact Digital Camera

If you are convinced you did not switch the camera to manual settings, and the blur stays, please contact the nearest Canon certified service centre close to you. But before check the settings on the camera and start putting it on automatic.

Lens elements are out of possition.

MB, your set has one or more defective LCD panel tabs. The only true fix is to replace the screen which will be big $$$. There are youtube videos that will show you how to patch the problem. Just search LCD panel tabs and several videos should come up.

If the camera is showing a black or distorted screen when set to photo, and photos that are taken with the black screen also show up black or distorted, then this would likely be a CCD imager failure, a common occurrence for your model camera.

Something in the lens unit is broken. The unit can't be fixed but needs to be replaced with a new or unit unit. A new lens unit would cost about half the price of the camera though...

That sounds like a faulty CCd sensor.

There could be many resons for the same, please try the following.

1. clean the screen with a damp cloth.

2. check for scraches on the screen they can cause blurness, get a scract remover and that should rectify.

3. check batt. they could be weak or dead.

4. remove the batt. and plug it again it might need to be booted again.

if nothing is workign its possible well the lcd might be damaged, might have to replace the same.
