I only got this camera [nikon coolpix s60] in march, it's may and now when i turn on my camera the lense wont open and it's says "lens error" what now?
Try pushing the lens gently inside then side to side. It should zoom right out when turned on. It happened to my S70 coz when my kids played with it dropped it.

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.
well its a scrap bin joby now to get this fixed will cost you more than a good camera would it has the lens runners smashed off,,,they realy dont like being droped do they?

This is probably THE single most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
