The hdmi cable from dvd to tv must be connected to the appropriate ports. The correct input source must be selected on the tv, the dvd must be playing a compatible disk. The appropriate software level must running on the tv, etc, etc etc.

it could be an HDMI port for connecting HDMI cable. If your DVD player has HDMI output then you can connect it.

or it could be a usb port for playing videos from usb devices like pen drives and portable hard disks

i dont think tv has a phone jack

hi try using RCA cables to make sure youre connections r not the problem..plug the rca cables n the output of dvd then into tv input & set tv input to AV .good luck

You installed custom firmware and kernel, or it`s standart. Some HDMI they need to be connected to the power also, like mine HTC Sensation 4G

you should be able to use the coaxial cable. Most every TV and every dish or cable box uses the coaxial cable. Its the black cable with the little copper wire in the middle.

Follow these steps:
1. Need a HDMI-to-Micro HDMI cable ($4-$8). Do not pay $30 at brand stores.
2. Connect the Micro HDMI to your phone.
3. Make sure that TV is off. Then connect the HDMI end of the cable to any available HDMI port on your TV/Display.
4. Reboot/Restart your EVO. This is a must do step for phone to recognize the HDMI connection. (Neither HTC nor Sprint were aware of this step.). On reboot/restart, you will see a HDMI logo on top left corner of your EVO. This lets you know that EVO is detecting the HDMI cable connection.
