Power steering stiff and jumpy...when the weel is turned hard either way the engine belts actually slip and the alternator stops charging. Is my power steering pump burned out ?

I would change the belt first. Power steering is required for all turning but does get a little more usage during hard turns. You will want to check the fluid levels of the power steering pump as well.

After changing the battery in my dodge charger the sensors will not go off and the transmission wont switch is there something im supposed to do after changing the battery

The ESP system needs to be recalibrated after having the battery disconnected. Turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock a couple times. Should recalibrate it.

My 2000 honda accord japan model .. the power steering is not working after my car battery wires was crossed causing the power steering to stop working. It was dianosted and the torque sensors gives back...

the system may just need recalibrating the usul way with electronic power steering is to start the engine the rotate the steering wheel full lock both way a few times to let the pas module to recalibrate itself try it it may work unless the reversed polarity has blown the module or sensors

Why is my 1997 Ford Escort steering wheel making a grinding noise when it is turned (it is not power asisted steering)?

There are two bearings in the steering column. One or both may be bad. The most likely problem would be the lower bearing. While someone is turning the steering wheel look under the hood at the bottom of the steering column and see if it is rotating smoothly or kind of jumpy. You might have to place your hand on it to feel if it is smooth or jumpy (make sure the engine is off and the exhaust is not hot).

You may have a Broken Motor Mount. If you have someone Rev it up a little while you look at the Motor, If the Mount is Broken the Motor will Move in one Direction or the Other. It should not move at all when Revved up. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
