I have a flat screen samsung model #LN-T2642H .While watching it one night I heard a pop and black bars on the screen with a small burst which looks like a point of impact.. please help!
Most likely a capacitor burst damanging the screen. I reccomend leaving it off in order to prevent further damage. If its still under warranty contact samsung asap. ( http://www.samsung.com/us/info/contactus.html# )
If its no longer under warranty take a look in your local yellow pages for local electronics repair shops and they might be able to figure out how bad it is. But mostly likely a capacitor burst damaging the screen, so its going to be a costly repair if its not covered by warranty. And if thats the case I would suggest just buying a new tv vs the cost of repair. Hopefully its still under warranty though.
