I had the same problem. Tv works fine then all the sudden turns off. I could turn the tv back on and would work for awhile then turn off again. I found the problem to be with the xfinity- comcast cable box. I exchanged the cable boxes and the problem was fix.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. TV WAS FINE UNTIL A FEW MONTHS AGO. OF COURSE ITS OUT OF WARRANTY. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ, AND BEEN TOLD, IT IS THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE UNIT. IT IS DEFECTIVE, OR IT OVERHEATS AND TRIES TO SHUT DOWN. A LAW SUIT IS IN PROGRESS AGAINST WESTINGHOUSE TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. KINDA REMINDS ME OF THE XBOX 360'S WHEN THEY CAME OUT. ALL YOU CAN DO IS TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE. OR, YOU CAN KEEP TURNING IT ON AND OFF, LIKE I DO. I HAVE HAD THIS TV ON ALL NIGHT BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS. AS SOON AS I START CHANGING STATIONS, OUT IT GOES. GOOD LUCK. WESTINGHOUSE WILL NOT EVEN EMAIL ME. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONTACT THEM. I HAVE HEARD FROM THE LAW FIRM IN CALIFORNIA THAT IS GOING AFTER THEM. GO ONLINE, AND JOIN THE CRUSADE.

I have the same tv and had the same problem.
If picture appears when you slowly hit back of the tv, then the solution is quite easy.
1-There are 2 small lids on the back of the tv, open the one at the top with using a screw driver.
2- there is a connector on the top, make sure that it is connected well.
As far as I understand there is somehow a connection problem or maybe result of oxidation or something....
