SOURCE: g e energy star

THE GE WASHERS HAVE A PUMP FILTER BEHIND THE LOWEST PANEL ON THE FRONT. ON THE FRONT OF THE MACHINE AT THE VERY BOTTOM, REMOVE THE THREE SCREWS TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM PANEL AND YOU WILL SEE THE ROUND PUMP FILTER HOUSING. IF ON A PEDESTAL, PLACE A BUCKET IN THE DRAWER AS WATER WILL COME OUT WHEN YOU UNSCREW THE FILTER. IF ON THE FLOOR, TILT MACHINE BACK A WAYS TO GET THE WATER INTO THE BACK OF THE TUB, NOT TOO FAR OR IT WILL COME OUT OF THE REAR VENTS. REMOVE FILTER AND CLEAN OUT. THIS IS THE PROBLEM MANY TIMES.

Tax Incentives for Heating and Air Conditioning

The passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, consumers are able upgrade to more energy-efficient heating and air conditioning equipment. They can start saving on energy bills right away, and you may also save on your taxes next year. For your home, these benefits can include lowering home energy bills, increasing your indoor comfort, and reducing air pollution. These programs are helping savvy consumers’ lower energy bills in their home. The energy-efficient products that are eligible for the new federal tax credits can lower the amount of federal income taxes that many taxpayers must pay Uncle Sam.

There are some new potentially lucrative tax incentives for energy-efficient and renewable-energy home improvements. These may offer some consolation to many homeowners who feel they are getting forgotten with the government's various economic stimulus efforts.

There is a $1,500 energy-efficient credit, which currently will last only last two years, meaning consumers will have to find a way to spend this money during this economic downturn. Homeowners now have a new opportunity to lower their energy costs and save on their 2009 federal income taxes by making specific energy efficiency upgrades to their homes.

There is also a new tax credit that will be effective 2009 through 2016 for 30 percent of the cost of a qualified geothermal heat pump. This can be for up to $2,000. These caps do not apply to certain alternative energy systems like geothermal heat pumps, solar water heaters, wind power, or photovoltaic systems. The benefits for installing some pricier solar technology, small wind-energy systems or geothermal-well systems can include a tax credit of 30% for qualifying expenditures with no upper limit through 2016. In order for you to claim your credit, the energy efficient improvements you must use qualifying Energy Star rated products and they must be started up sometime between from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.

By doing your research and talking with your heating and air conditioning professional you may be able to save a substantial amount of money and get some great home improvements at the same time.

Is the Whirlpool Electric Water Heater Model # EE3J50RD045V energy star rated

You want to know if this heater has Energy Star label.
I don't know.
Call Whirlpool 1-877-817-6750

Energy Star is a label that means nothing to you.
Manufacturers use energy-star label to promote a product as a money-saver.
They can put an Energy Star label on a giant 10,000 square foot house, and you know that cannot be the truth that a large house saves energy vrs a smaller house.

Energy factor, (energy factor/ not energy star) on the other hand, is a comparison measure how efficient the water heater uses energy to heat a gallon of water, when water heater is absolutely new.
EE3J50RD045V has energy factor of .59, which is completely typical and ordinary for electric water heaters.

The EE3j 50 gallon is an ordinary electric water heater, with ordinary average .59 energy factor rating, so electricity to operate this water heater is same as any other typical 50 gallon electric water heater: it will cost $35-45 a month depending on incoming water temperature, hot water use, thermostatic setting, electricity pricing, and whether you operate heater at peak pricing, etc.
http://waterheatertimer.org/9-ways-to-save-with-water-heater.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-much-does-it-cost-to-run-water-heater.html

The most important measure of water heater cost does not have anything to do with Energy-star or energy-factor.
The most important measure is total cost of owning and operating the water heater.
So if you spend $100 more to purchase electric water heater with slightly higher energy factor, then it will not pay you back. The difference will be $2 to $4 per year.
All costs are energy.
The total cost of operating water heater includes purchase price, installation cost, cost of repairs, cost of parts, whether you can fix it yourself, expected life of water heater, and replacement cost.
Every water heater has expected lifespan, and will not have resale value except current price of scrap.

Electric water heaters cost more to operate per month than same-size gas water heater.
Gas water heater might cost less over the life of water heater, but gas water heaters are increasingly expensive to repair, and increasingly more complicated, and cost more up-front to buy.

Electric water heaters cost less to buy, are easy to install yourself, are fully repairable by homeowner using generic off-the-shelf parts, and can be made to last many years by keeping tank clean and replacing anode rod every 2 years.
You can make ordinary 6-year electric water heater from box store last almost indefinitely.
Avoid electric water water heater that has electronic controls.

Water wont drain, think filter is clogged.

Hi tammylynn131,

Before the Spin Cycle should start, all water must be drained out of the machine. If it does not start, it could likely mean the Drain pump may be clogged. Please follow my below tip on the fix:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER...

If this does not help, the drain pump may be faulty.

Kind Regards

What is black hole ?

In astronomy science, black hole should mean :
Theoretical celestial object, formed when a massive star collapses from its own gravity. A black hole has such a strong pull of gravity that not even light can escape from it. Some scientists theorize that rotating black holes (also know as Kerr black holes) which contain billions of dead stars lie at the centers of galaxies
But this just a theorem.

I did not understand what to draw on the topic "More stars more saving". Can u please tell me what to draw??????????

If you are referring to the energy saving rating, then the more stars means the appliance with the greater number of stars is more energy efficient than an appliance with less number of stars and therefore cheaper to run and will save you more money.
