Model kawgo USB ports are damaged on my e627 model kawgo. Do I have to replace the USB card. If yes, where can I buy one in Canada? Thanks for your help. Harold

It wouldn't hurt to be honest about what happened with the service plan provider and see what they say. It would be a shame to have to replace your computer over a broken USB port. You can always purchase a USB hub which plugs into one USB port and supplies you with two or more USB ports.

do u mean it broke by accident? if yes then u can get a new usb 2.0 port installed, this involves opening the laptop, so i recommend that u get it done by a professional

No its not possible as no because with the use use of any software using can't change the working of a hardware.And how can a USB device will fit in memory card slot.

Unfortunately usb replacement on laptops can be very expensive if they are physically damaged. As inexpensive as laptops are getting these days it just does not make sense to put to much money in them unless you have a very expensive laptop. As for your problem with the usb ports if they are not physically damaged you can reload your drivers. This is the best option to try to make them work again. You need to go the manufacturer website and download the drivers for your usb ports on the make and model laptop you have and install them. If you do not know how to find them please reply back to me with the make and model laptop along with the operating system you use and I will be glad to send you the link and you can install the drivers. If you have at least one usb port working you can always buy a usb hub.

This Desktop does not have a wireless adapter installed. You can buy a wireless N PCI card and put it inside the case in an empty PCI slot, or (easier) just buy a USB wireless N adapter and plug it into a free USB port. PCI or USB wireless cards typically go for about $60 (Canada /USA) This will allow you to connect to wireless networks.

I am trying to hook up a new printer HP Deskjet 1050 J410 Series and none of my usb ports seem to be working. Do these ports manfunction due to age?
yes, unfortuantely they do wear out (in/out connecting) ..thats why i always suggest using a USB hub (retails for about $10-$15 or less) -- plug it into one USB port and leave it (if its a desktop, dont try this with notebook or you will forget its there and cause damage while moving it around, from one place to another)

-try blowing out the dust from the inside USB connection of your computer , try it again -- but buy a USB hub first ,, youc ant go wrong having this around

is it a desktop ? if so , buy a new USB card and replace the old one

if its a notebook -- bad news , you need to spend money to replace the USB ports or buy another mainboard

i hate to see this happen --

My printer have a problems in lan and usb card has damage
hi,

if the lan port is damage and the usb port is damaged, there no way to use it to connect unless the lan port is on a slide in card and the same for the usb port,

You may be able to buy a card with will replace the damaged one, I have seen similar items on ebay.

You can replace it. But how good are you with Soldering?

The easiest (and least challenging fix) is to buy a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card. It'll fit right in your PCMCIA Slot and give you full USB 2.0 (I think your model is only 1.1 if I'm not mistaken)

They run about $20-$30 max for one of them. Just do an eBay search. They can also be ordered in at most computer and specialty laptop stores.
