Need to know where or how to find reset botton for

There is no reset button on the dv2000.To reset the laptop remove AC power and battery, hold down power button 30 - 60 sec, plug in AC power only and press power button. This method is called a hard reset. If all goes well shutdown - remove power - replace battery and job done!

I m using ur model HP PAVILLION DV2000

Sounds like you have a driver issue.

Start up in safe mode (press the F8 button about once per second after you power on), and select safe mode with networking.

When you get into windows, use windows update to download all updates for both software and hardware (update will till you that there are optional updates available, download these as well),

Hopefully when all that has completed you should be able to run your computer as normal. If not there may be a problem with the memory installed on the laptop.

There is a known problem with the video card in this machine, certain models are covered by an extended HP warranty.  Symptoms are overheating and finally not starting at all.
