I have windows 7 home prem and cannot connect says detects strong signal but limited access

Most likely, the access point is not connected to an internet gateway whatever that is at your place.
and since access points does not provide DHCP service by default (handing out IP information to connected clients), you get the limited access message.
In short, make sure the access point is connected to the router because the router is the once responsible for providing the DHCP service.

Display screen reads dhcp bad conflict

There is a dhcp error. Reboot the phone.
When It says, DHCP * to program, press the STAR button.

when the IP address is displayed, change it by press 0.0.0.0. Where the dots are would be the star button. then press the #(pound) button until you see save new values, press star for yes.

Hopefully that will force it to grab another IP from teh DHCP server.

If not contact your admin.

How to turn on a dhcp on a rca model dcm425 cable modem?

Hi there,
Enabling DHCP at the Client To enable the Windows NT DHCP client, you must log on as administrator at the Windows NT client.

Normally, you enable DHCP as part of the installation procedure for Microsoft TCP/IP, however, you can use this procedure if you have manually configured TCP/IP:
  1. Run Control Panel and choose Network.

The Network Settings dialog box appears.
  2. Under Installed Network Software, select TCP/IP Protocol and then choose configure.

The TCP/IP configuration dialog box appears.
  3. Select Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration.

A Microsoft (MS) TCP/IP message appears, indicating that the DHCP Protocol attempts to configure the server automatically during system initialization.
  4. Choose Yes.

A MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box appears, displaying current TCP/IP configuration parameters. The IP Address and Subnet Mask boxes are not available (grayed out) and the manually configured values are no longer displayed.
  5. Choose OK to return to the Network Settings dialog box.
  6. Choose OK again.
  7. Shut down and restart the computer.
To enable DHCP on a Windows for Workgroups client if TCP/IP is not installed yet:
  1. Use Network Setup to install the MS TCP/IP-32 3.11 protocol.
  2. In the MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box, select the Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration check box, and choose Continue.
  3. Restart the computer to initialize TCP/IP using DHCP.
To enable DHCP on a Windows for Workgroups client if TCP/IP is installed:
  1. To access the Network Drivers dialog box, run Network Setup.
  2. Select Microsoft TCP/IP-32 3.11, and then choose Setup.
  3. In the MS TCP/IP Configuration dialog box, select the Enable Automatic DHCP Configuration check box, and choose continue.

A message box appears indicating that the configuration of DHCP overrides any values established locally.
  4. Choose Yes.
  5. To initialize TCP/IP using DHCP information, restart the computer.

Log in on your router manager http://192.168.x.x and enable DHCP.DHCP provides an automated way to distribute and update IP addresses and other configuration information on a network. A DHCP server provides this information to a DHCP client through the exchange of a series of messages, known as the DHCP conversation or the DHCP transaction. If the DHCP server and DHCP clients are located on different sub-nets, a DHCP relay agent is used to facilitate the conversation.

  1. Connect to your router (by typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into the URL bar) and log in. Check your user manual or documentation if you do not know the log-in credientials.
  2. 180px-dhcp_router_setup.jpg magnify-clip.png Router Setup tab Make sure you are in the Setup -> Basic Setup category.
  3. 180px-dhcp_router_disabled.jpg magnify-clip.png DHCP is Disabled Scroll down until you see 'DHCP Server' - if it is disabled, select 'Enable'
  4. 180px-dhcp_router_enabled.jpg magnify-clip.png Enable DHCP If you want, you can change the number that the DHCP IP assigning starts. This is optional, and is totally dependant on personal preference. In this picture, the maximum number of DHCP clients is 3. You may need to increase this number according to how many people will need a dynamic IP address on your network. Once the max is reached, no one else can get an address until one expires!
  5. Use the DNS servers provided to you by your ISP, or use the following DNS servers: 205.152.37.254, 205.152.132.235, 205.152.132.23; There are many DNS servers out there. It's best to use your ISP's if possible.
  6. dhcp_router_save.jpg magnify-clip.png Don't forget to save! Scroll down and click 'Save Settings'
  7. Open up the network configurations for the computers on your network (Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Local Area Connection or Wireless Connection) and select 'Obtain IP address automatically'

it doesnt make any difference in what coutry you are. if you say it works at home it should work in other places too.
check the ip configuration. if you have static ip&dns try to switch to automatically (dhcp). If dhcp is already set ask for network settings because maybe the access point you are trying to connect to doesn't provide dhcp or it has mac filtering.

Enter the device IP into your web browser. This shoudl load its web management interface. If it does not, you have an IP connectivity issue. You must power cycle the unit after changing IP settings.

press additional functions, report settings, network, user data list, yes. Check to see if DHCP is enabled. If it is, the IP displayed in the report may not be correct. DHCP should be off in most cases. Verify IP shown here.

Double check for link lights on the network cable.
