press status button enter 1087 1087 then 201 start press flashing crosshairs with pen point then enter 01 start

Try calling that number from a regular phone and listen for fax tones...it may not be a fax number.

delete the printer on the computer entirely...and start over again..best way to solve that issue

I would check the usb connection cable - maybe try a different one. 'off line' normally means that the computer can't communicate with the printer. Silly thing - check that the printer has power. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but sometimes it's the simple things that get missed.
