There is a solenoid that activates when you press the trigger and allows water to flow. If it isn't stopping, you most likely have a bad solenoid. Take it to your local vac shop for repair.
If you are unable to shut off the pressure from the wand, there may be an issue with the unloader valve that is stopping it from switching into bypass mode when the trigger wand is released. The unloader valve is designed to respond to the spike in pressure created when the trigger wand is released, and to divert the flow of water coming from the pump to bypass the pressure hose and flow back into the intake end of the pump. If the unloader valve fails to switch into bypass mode, water may continue to flow out of the trigger wand. This may also cause damage to the wand. If you are unable to shut off the pressure from your power washer, stop the engine and discontinue use immediately. The unloader valve should be removed and possibly replaced if found to be malfunctioning. The inability to stop the flow of high-pressure water from the wand can be dangerous and should be fixed before continuing to use the machine.
The primary side of an ignition coil is not intended to produce a spark and it isn't wise to try. A test lamp or voltmeter can be used to check for battery voltage on the +side and for continuity through the winding. If the winding has continuity and a voltage is present then current will flow if the contact points or the trigger (optical, hall effect or inductive) and amplifier is working correctly. A 1990 model probably uses a trigger and an ignition amplifier
If water continues to flow without pressing the dispense button or the water continues to flow into ice maker the cause is most likely a defective dual water control valve. The correct replacement for your ZIS480NR is=> WR57X10032 Dual Water Control Valve. I will be here should you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze
Hi:The solenoid valve gets the current once the switch is activated (pressed) therefore my opinion is that you have a sticky trigger. or one of the terminals of the cables it's shorting out.Change the trigger or better yet check that the terminals are clear and not touching other parts of the handle.
Hi; Check the following troubleshoot and see if you can ID the problem:
Problem: Gas flows continuously when power is turned on, AC indicator flashes
1. Torch switch is activated (closed) before user turns power on.
a. Release torch switch.
2. Faulty torch switch
a. Check torch switch for continuity. Replace if necessary.
Problem: Gas flows continuously; Torch will not pilot when torch switch is activated; AC indicator ON
1. System is in SET mode
a. Change to RUN / Rapid Auto Restart / SET switch to RUN (up).
Mostly of the problems found is that customer has the switch line on to SET instead of RUN.
Hope this help. Have a good afternoon.
Hello, the humidifier should only be running when the furnaces blower motor is running, therefore it should only drain when the humidifier is on and not flow continuously. Usually the humidifier will keep draining water when the solenoid is stuck open and should be replaced with a new solenoid valve.
