Confused about wires for car stereo installation

I have an alpine cva-1004 with the 6.5". Now it has the blue/white wire for the remote to the amp and im sure thats what that wire is for. Now there is another wire which is brown/white and it has a label that reads remote out. I am unsure where i am to connect this wire to? any help would be appreciated.

This is to be used if you wanted the Alpine to control the on/ off functions of other audio devices (such as a second amplifier)

The blue/white wire is actually for the power antenna. They included the remote out for aftermarket devices

Alpine cva-1004 no audio video ok

Many aftermarket car stereo has to output trigger wires, one antenna and one amplifier. Antenna trigger only works in radio mode for the power antenna to operate. Amplifier wire operates in any mode the stereo is in. Check to make sure you hooked up the correct blue wire to your amplifer.

Ipod input?

I've got an Alpine CVA1004 and use my ipod on the aux input of the headunit. The alpine-ipod interface was too confusing for me, with the ipod connected to the aux input, I just control the music from the Ipod, I find it easier that way.

How to bypass alpine cva-1004 to play while driving

Doing so is very dangerous.
I admit it is an annoyance because some basic features you can't even control while driving.
Once again I would really suggest not bypassing the saftey feature.
If you still wan't to go threw with it there's 2 different ways. One of which is applying the e-brake ever so slightly so that the brake light comes on on your dash but could also wear out your e-brake over time doing this. The other is permanently grounding the e-brake wire that comes from the cva-1004. You must cut the wire and ground it (on the cva-1004 side of the cut wire) and insulate the other side of the wire you cut so that it dosen't interfere with the normal operation of the brake light.

Rember..... When you have an accident you were warned!

No sound from front speakers during CD operation.

I think you are using an external amplifier,if this is the case, you may be using the wrong remote wire for the amp.
Alpine use two blue wires,BLUE (only) this wire is for the pwr antenna and every time you insert a cd, this pwr line cut out.
BLUE/WHITE STRIPE this is the remote wire that you need to connect the remote of the amplifier.

Alpine CVA-1004

lol i had the exact problem that you are having with my alpine. The solution is taking the blue cord that was inside the vehicle (forgot what cord it was) and actually connecting it with the other blue cord thats different makes the factory amp read the cd player and ta-da it works. crazy isn't it
