I keep getting various runtime errors coming up on my computer screen and causing programs to close. I seem to recall hearing somewhere that runtime errors are pretty serious.....can you give me an idea of why I might be getting a bunch of runtime errors? And what I can do to get rid of them?
Thanks,
Erika
Here's a link to typical runtime errors in IE.
If you are getting errors from other applications, you can look them up in the event viewer, (link here).
It might be a good idea to do some system maintenance, clearing out temp files, etc by running disk cleaner. And it probably wouldn''t hurt to run chkdsk c: /f on your hard drive to look for corruption. (The results can be seen under winlogon properties in event viewer after you run it.) Instructions to do that here and here.
If you suspect malware could be a possibility, (and it seems possible, from the sound of it,) these are the malware removal protocols I recommend you follow.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Are you facing runtime error during the Internet Surfing? Any Blue screen message also appears which cause Laptop to shut down??
Please boot your Notebook at Safe Mode by pressing F8 and selecting the "Safe Mode with Networking" Option.
This will allow to run minimum drivers and will confirm if no error comes now. Problem with some application.
Also please check and ensure all setting at BIOS are defaults as set earlier.
Press F2 during restart and Enter to Dell BIOS setting, check all the entries viz. Boot Priority, keyboard and device settings.
