Most modern vehicles do not not have an inline filter. The filter is built into the fuel pump that is in the gas tank. It not designed to replaced as regular maintenance.
If you think the engine is starving for fuel you need to have a competent mechanic check the fuel pressure at the injection system.
very small hands it should be under hood on driver side firewall.no hard at all just tight space.some Honda fuel filters are under car right by the tank also easy to change make sure you look at filter and put flow toward engine (arrow)
This site says that there is only an in tank filter that is accessed under the rear seat: http://www.civicforums.com/forums/109-7th-gen-do-yourself-articles/307208-classic-diy-fuel-filter-replacement.html
The Only Fuel Filter on your Honda is in the Fuel Tank. You have to remove the fuel sender unit from the tank. This is accessed by removing the panel under the spare tire. The suggested service is to measure the fuel pressure with the fuel pressure regulator disconnected and the vacuum line pinched. If the pressure is below 47-54 PSI the filter should be replaced.
look under the car at the gas tank .look for small metal fuel lines that goes to a small little round metal canister that is mounted to a bracket with a bango fuel line connected to it.thats the fuel filter.FIRST RELIEVE FUEL PRESSURE BEFORE REMOVING FILTER.YOU LOOSEN GAS CAP.THEN YOU GET RAGS TO CATCH GAS THEN YOU GET INLINE WRENCHES.TAKE INLINE WRENCHES AND BARELY LOOSEN LINES AT THE FUEL FILTER TO RELIEVE GAS PRESSURE.USE RAGS TO CATCH GAS.WHEN YOU PUT THE NEW FILTER ON BESURE TO GET NEW BANJO WASHERS.DO NOT USE THE OLDS ONE ARE YOU WILL HAVE A GAS LEAKS.WHEN YOU FINISH REPLACING FUEL FILTER.TURN CAR IGNITION IN ON POSITION FOR A FEW SECONDS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO GAS LEAKS.
remove rear seat, remove round metal cover, disconnect fuel lines and wires from top of fuel pump, jack up rear of car. remove gas tank straps, lower gas tank with a jack, install is reverse.....if you need to just replace the fuel pump you don't have to remove tank you Can access from under rear seat good luck and please rate -jeff
