Try manually defrosting the freezer completely. If there is any blockage (which could be a frozen section) in the self-defrost system, this will solve it by thawing everything out.

LG french doors, bottom freezer. Water leak from

Make sure your ic maker is empty. On the bottom of the ice maker is a small button. Watch the plastic fill tube and hold the botton in. Let the ice maker cycle anmd see if the water over shhoots rne ice maker. If it does, trim 1/8 of an inch off of the tube with a raxor knife on an angle = / this should take care of your problem.

Ice tastes like plastic. New LG French Door.

Change the filter each week until problem is gone. LG is not usually hit with this problem. good luck.

Bottom Freezer has ice built up

Possibly the defrost element is faulty, this is located behind a cover in the back of the freezer compartment and is attached to the fins of the evaporator. It also has a defrost limit thermostat which could also be the problem. I presume that the fan is working after you have defrosted the unit?
