Kenmore washer doesn't drain

I bought a kenmore washer model 417.44142400 in 2004. now it has a problem. it started wash cycle perfectly. when this cycle was done, it didn't drain water and begins buzzing (noise). then the rinse cycle began. the buzzing stopped for a while and buzzed again. it lasted to the spin cycle and during rinse cycle no water filled in. the spin cycle didn't perform and it kept buzzing.
i pull the drain pipe and water came out by gravity and spin cycle started and there was no buzzing any more.
please tell me if the pump is damaged and which parts should be replaced. thanks.

This is likely a pressure switch issue.

I have a kenmore 80 series washer that goes thru all the cycles except that it doesn't drain after rinsing and this is my serial and model number if you need it: mod20852990 ser4549516

does it drain after the wash cycle before therinse cycle? if not there are usually 2 belt on the bottom of the washer, one is for the aggitator the other for the water pump. check to see if the belt is still attached and also take the drain hose down to floor level to see if the water gravity feeds out, if it does not pour out then your pump would likely be clogged from lint.

My washer machine fills up but doesn?t spin, and, I change the cycle and the drain pump works perfect

The lid has a prone that protrudes through a hole in the top of the washer. This prone of finger
makes contact with a lever that is connected to a interlock switch. If this switch is not made,
the unit will not enter its wash cycle. Try bending this lever up a little to make better contact
with the finger.

Washer problem

Inspect the drain hose, see if there is any obstruction.
Try to understand if the machine does not drain at all or if the cycle is not completing , and timer stops before completinc cycle.

If the machine is not draining, then, once you check the drain hose and see no obstruction in there, it can be a faulty drain pump, or a faulty water level switch. If machine instead does not complete the cycle, it is a faulty timer/programmer.

See here for more detailed explanation: It won't drain
