SOURCE: "Door Locked" Indicator Switch Faulty

You should access the lid switch (the switch is inside the machine main housing near the door frame) and to see whether it become loose or was broken. Good luck!

SOURCE: LG INTELLOWASHER DD 7KG DOOR LOCK STAYS ON WAY TO LONG

Never heard of that; I would try a new door latch as I have never had a bad control issue with the operation of the door latch. There is no real way to test it. I can getb you the latch if interested. I cannot see your reply due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks

SOURCE: lg washing machine wm-1460fhd door locked wont

We have a WM-1480FHD, with the door stuck shut. It appears the door release mechanism in the actual door has broken, so when you pull the lver part, the catch is not released. You need to get a very flat knife, insert between the door and the front of the machine, right in the middle behind the release handle and push the hook towards the right side of the machine.Once open, you can check the release mechanism in the actual door. Ours is broken, so need to sort out how to repair/replace it next!

SOURCE: door wont open on LG WD-8016C

mine either. The handle seems to break easily. Try getting a butter knife and pushing in from the left hand side, this will undo the latch.

Brandt FP464 Oven Door Locked

On most of these ovens, you can either unplug the unit or flip the breaker from the main and keep it off for ten minutes, then either plugs it back in or turn it back on, and then hit and hold the start/cancel button on the control board for twenty seconds. Yu should hear a beep and then you should see the display light up and ask for you to set the time. If it does this, then the reset has worked. If so, put the oven into a self clean cycle and hit start, listen for the machine to come on, and about a minute later cancel the cycle and see if the door unlocks. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad door lock assembly and you will be forced to manually unlock the door.

To manually unlock the door, stick a screwdriver or heavy wire coat hanger in between the door oven and the door lock and see if you can disengage the door lock. If you manage to get the door open, leave the door open and put the oven into another self clean cycle. If after hitting the start button to activate the self clean cycle, you notice the door lock either not moving or getting stuck closed again you will need a new door lock assembly. If after hitting the start button, the door lock seems to be working fine, the door lock had probably shorted out during the cleaning cycle and looks to be okay now.

We have an LG WM3270CW front load washer that when you turn it on everything lights up but when you hit start nothing happens. No error codes and we can't put it into test mode either. Any ideas?

The first thing that happens when you hit start is:
1. Door is locked, did it lock?
2. Drain pump is activated for 30-60 seconds.
3. Load measurement (drum spins slowly)
4. Water intake level 1 and level 2 and so on...

Check doorlock first, then drain, then water intake.
I think your lock is the problem

How to remove door on LG range model lre3023st

To remove the door on the LRE3023ST, fully open the door. Pull the hinge locks down towards the door frame to the unlocked position; you may find a flat blade screwdriver helps to lever the locks to start the process. Grasp the door at the sides near the top with both hands. Tilt the door up to about 5 degrees from the closed position. Lift the door up and out until the hinge arm clears the slot where the hinge point locks onto the oven frame on both sides. Put the door down.

This is shown on page 32 of the Owner's Manual. LG has this on the product support page: https://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-LRE3023ST#manuals . The direct link to the manual seems to be http://gscs-b2c.lge.com/downloadFile?fileId=KROWM000460684.pdf .

I hope this helps.

this kind of door lock is called PTC door lock.It is designed for protecing you from opening the dooe during the washing and spining cycles which may hurt you.So, if you want to open the dooe during cycles, pls press "stop",then ,wait 2 mins, you will be able to open it by then.the other situation is that, the power is cut off during working cycles, solution is:re-start the washer and directly open the door.Pls note that this kind of lock has to work under power

Kwikset lock

Try checking if the lock turns completely with the door open. If it works then the bolt might not be getting past the strike plate on the jamb. Look between the door and the frame when closed and see if the lock is hitting the strike plate. You can also see if pulling in on the door more than normal gets the lock to work. If it does then it is hitting the strike plate. Up north with swelling from the winter and shrinking in the summer it is common to have two sets of holes (one for each season) for the strike plate. Reposition the strike plate in the direction you think it needs. If it does not work properly while the door is open then the bolt is misaligned or you have an internal problem. But more than likely since this is a kwikset it is your strike plate.

Door doesnot close

The LG LDS 5811 and all models that start with 'LDF" do not have a door latch. They do have a child lock _but_ that feature does not lock the door closed or open, it just locks the controls so the DW can not be turned on or settings changed.
So, please look at the right side edge of the opened door and post the model # back here.
Thanks!

Frigidaire---oven door locks.

On my Frigidaire electric range with flat screen front controls, when the "Clean" control was accidentally pushed and the door locked, I could not unlock the door by cutting power, by running the clean mode for 30 seconds then pushing "Clear", or by hitting any button. What opened the door was holding down the "Clear" button for 30 seconds until the range started beeping and code "F11" read on the led. This worked. Good luck with yours.
