SOURCE: Asko W620 washing machine not spinning

Sounds like the motor brushes need to be cleaned or replaced. Take the back off the washer, remove the motor and gently scrape the excess carbon or debris off the brushes with a pocket knife. I did this and it ran well for about 50 loads before building back up. I am ordering new brushes now because when I checked the brushes last week they were obviously worn more than 4 weeks ago.

check that all the plugs are in the correct position on the board, you may have introduced the fault, because the only fault you had to start with was worn carbons.did you break off any links maybe J4 etc if the original board had the link taken off and you dont do it on the new board you will hard program the new board and will have to order another board. is the machine heating.put on wool wash and select heating you should hear it start to heat.let me know.thanks Ian

SOURCE: asko 10505 runs through was

hi sir' start the wash machine empty and see if it happens when nothing is in it.
2. When machine is off, open the top grab the centerpiece inside the wash machine and pull and push it slowly, does it move? (For safety unplug the machine)
3. Make sure machine is 100% level (front to back, left to right)

The most common thing is bad drum bearing, which force the wash machine out of whack when in spin / wash. Which are common and the best thing is to call Maytag.

SOURCE: Hello, I have the Asko W6761

Hello, my W6761 becomes the same. When it happens, you can clear the problem by "soft ware reset". Following is the procedure:
1. Power it on
2. Push Start/Stop buttom 5 times
3. Push "Enter", ">", "<", "Menu" buttons (from right to left)
4. Again, push "Enter", ">", "<", "Menu" buttons
5. Wait for 30 seconds that the above soft ware cycle resets the internal status
6. Toggle the power switch
7. You need to execute above "soft ware reset" within 15 seconds

Start washing and check to see if above reset the problem.
If it does not begin to work, repeat above "soft ware reset" cycle until it begins to work.
My W6761 once needed to repeat above cycle 7 times to solve the problem.
W6761 seems to be weak at high ambient temperature.

Oko 72630. Why is it stuck on rinse cycle?

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)

According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.

Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

After selecting the wash programme sounds as if machine about to fill with water but at this point it defaults to start/pause. Have tried selecting reset/skip button but repeats the same problem, please...

Hi,
Is there any water filling into the machine? If not then the filters on the machine may be clogged up and need to be cleaned? There is also a filter on the hose of the machine where it connects to the water mains pipe.
It just means removing them and rinsing them under the tap.

Asko W6761 - seems fine, starts to fill 40 seconds then stops!

This problem happens in mostly in warmer season, so this will be related with high ambient or water temperature.

ASKO technician may replace the controller but even with the replaced controller, this problem often happens.

Asko D1716 dishwasher problem

I also have an Asko D1716 dishwasher. The water stopped flowing. I replaced the water inlet valve and I have another problem, but the replacement of the fill valve is now letting in water. You can call Asko at 1-800-898-1879 to order the parts. If you order from Asko, I'm told you have some warranty on the parts. Anyway, the screws take a star drive and there is a front plate and back plate you will need to remove. There are approx. 4 screws on the front and 4 screws on the back. Just remember to unplug it before starting any work. The fill valve is in front of the machine. There are 2 screws holding it in place from the front. You will need to remove it out the back though to replace it since the fill tube to the tub is short and it wont allow you to pull it out the front. The repair is really easy once you get started.

Hope this helps,

Asko D1796 will not start properly

It sounds as if you may have A bad control board. It could be causing the heater element to come on when its not supposed to (usually a stuck relay) and not filling the machine with water. you could also have a bad control board AND a bad fill valve, as a stuck relay for the heater shouldn't affect the fill valve circuit. The bad news is that these asko control boards are $350 to $450 for just the part, the good news is that the control board is under a 5 year warranty (for only the part, not the labor to change it) as are the pump motors and any timers. Also, if you are just out of warranty, find your date of installation, as asko warranties start when you install it, not when you buy it (if you moved into the house and it was there when you moved in, and you are the first owner, submit a date of occupancy and that's when your warranty started)
