No sound radio honda accord 2004

Either radio is bad, or you have a loose connection to speakers, or poor ground connection at the radio. If a poor ground connection, the radio will intermittently not work also. Since radio continues to work, but sound does not, it is probably a bad audio circuit in the radio itself.

My KLH R5100 display comes and goes, most of the time is just dead, any suggestion ?

From your description you have bad connections on the display board, or intermittent power feed from the main board, it will take somebody that is handy with a soldering iron or a professional to check it out.

RCA HD52W66 Has an intermittent short that keeps blowing a fuse: FL231 on the diffusion board. What are likely possibilities?

I have found the main cause of this is poor solder connections on the high voltage flyback transformer. Just reheat these connection and add a little solder to get rid of the rings on the solder

Pioneer Stereo Receiver Display

Fuses do not produce intermittent symptoms.

You've clearly proven a bad conductor is involved. It could be a connector or a broken printed circuit on a flexible component such as a ribbon cable or printed circuit board.

Carefully proceed with power OFF to reseat anything that might lead to the circuit board(s) involved in the display. Try with power on after every step so you'll know which is/is not the fix.

Have intermittant protect, usually during start-up(until @operating temp.),ocassionally for no aparrent reason.(never clipped) Cold solder joint?

This is a symptom of either a poor solder joint or a heat sensitive transistor. I would look for the poor solder joint first. Look around the driver transistors and the voltage regulators. Those two ares are the most likely to develop bad connections.

The front display is blank.

If you can solder, examine the pins for the display itself. In particular, look at the pins at either end. These are the power and ground pins. These often develop poor solder connections. Try resoldering these pins and update this with the results.

Woofer cuts out intermittently

Buy a soldering iron and go over all solder connections on the circuit board. Sounds like you have a cold or intermittent solder connection. Also make sure the problem isn't in the subwoofer cable. Don't be afraid to do a little soldering, and just make sure you don't create "bridges" between existing solder connection. Only heat the connections long enough to melt them and add a little solder, as excessive heat can destroy sensitive components. Before doing all this, remove and reinsert all related cables into their jacks several times, as these connections can become oxidized and make poor contact over time.

Surround Speakers stop working

More then likely unit has poor solder connections. Try lightly tapping on chassis to see if you can get audio to either cut on or off with the vibration, If you can unit has intermittent solder connections probably around power amp ic701 where most of the heat is generated. I have a PDF service manual if you need it for yourself or for a technician if you take it in for repair [email protected]
