Power supply board most likely source, check for rounded tops on capacitors, a common cause.

Sounds like you have defective capacitors in the power supply board, cheap and easy fix for those with electronics repair skills

Most likely failed capacitors in the power supply. I am currently having the same problem with my 26 month old LN46A750. Samsung has agreed to fix this as an out of warranty "courtesy repair".

The problem is 4 capacitors on the power supply board. Just had mine done under warranty. They (Sears) replaced the whole power board but you can get larger capacitors and just replace those for alot cheaper if not under warranty.

It will be to expensive to repair. Stop the search.You are looking at over $1000 on the low side.

Go to youtube.com. search, Polaroid 37 lcd hd repair. Two or three vids on how to fix. Radio shack has 45 watt capacitators for about 4.70 for two. Easy fix or get someone to help.
