Search the site by type in the brand name to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to see the set-up codes to your device, with different brand remote controls.
Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

Direct Code Entry

Direct Code Entry lets you enter a code from the accompanying

code list for your brand of device. It's not as easy as the other

methods, but it's potentially the fastest method.

TIP: Each device key is associated with a type of device-

the TV is preset to search for TVs, SAT•CBL•DTC for satellite

receivers, cable boxes or digital TV converters, DVD•VCR

for DVD players, and DVR•AUX for DVRs. To program a

device key for a different type of device, see the Changing a
Key's Device Type section.

[1] Manually turn on the device you
want to control

[2] Press and hold the device key you want to program (the
POWER key illuminates).

While you're holding down the device key, use your other

hand enter the first five-digit code for your brand in the
code list (the POWER key turns off after the first digit).

[3] When you've finished entering

the five-digit code, keep holding

down the device key and look at
the POWER key.

Is the POWER key

illuminated?
YES: You're done! You've programmed this device key

NO, it blinked four times and turned off: You have

either entered a code number that is not in the code lists

or missed a step in the code entry procedure. Try step 3
again

Find your TV and hold the TV button on the top left. While holding the TV button, enter in a 4 digit code (they should be in the 1000's) - then release the TV button and try the channels or volume up or down
EXAMPLE: TV(1047) release TV button
- try all 4 digit codes associated with your TV
- once the code is entered, try it by clicking channel up or down
- hope this helps, this can be frustrating
- If the remote responds, stop trying codes, your remote is programmed
- WRITE DOWN THE NUMBER FOR YOUR TV WITH A SHARPIE ON THE REMOTE ITSELF THIS WILL PREVENT FURTHER WASTING OF TIME

I've lost my code list for my rca universal remote...my remote is a rca and my tv is rca can you please help me but i can't change my tv so i can watch my movie on my dvd i don't know how to swicthing over to the input so my dvd can play.
