Kelvinator air con Model KSR27G blowing room temperature air. I have spent almost $500 for a repairman and after the capacitor has been replaced and the refrigerant topped up, the air conditioner runs smoothly but blows refrigerated air only occasionally. HELP! This is costing too much to solve the problem.

I have a GE refrigerator and just had a technichian repair it. My problem was with the condesor relay and also the ice dispensor controls would not work. The tecnician replaced the main electical board on back of fridge and said that GE extended the factory waranty on this part. He was surprised that I wasn't having any cooling issues. He said that when most boards go bad there is a cooling problem.

SOURCE: Problem with GE Zoneline 5200 model

Heat pumps have saftey circuits that prevent liquid flooding of the compressor. Inadequate airflow across the evaporator in cooling can trip this circuit. Have your package unit serviced with particular attention to cleaning the evaporator coil and be sure your filters are clean and changed frequently in the summer months. Hope this helps GL!

SOURCE: Model is GSS25WGMD WW No cooling in freezer or refrigerator

look for ice or forst build up on the rear wall of freezer compartment, sounds like you may have a defrost problem. this will affect temps in freezer and refrig. the most common def problems for GE are bad defrost heaters. these are model specific and fairly easy to replace your self. i got this part number form Sears.com WR51X10055 good luck peyton

Why is my portable air conditioner blowing out room temperature air?

Make sure the filter(s) have been cleaned (Washed) and that the thermostat is set to the correct temperature. If the room temp is the same as the setting on the air con, it wont cool or heat. Just the fan will be operating.

Need to change from cooling to heating for a Kelvinator KSR27G split sys air con. Have tried ourselves using the remote, but we feel it is not operating correctly. No manual came with it when we purchased...

The cooling symbol on the remote is generally an "icicle" , the heating is a symbol of a blazing sun. Make sure you have selected the right mode. Also check the filters... if they are dirty, you wont get decent heating from any air con.. cheers,

BTW, I believe that electrolux have a site you can download instruction books.

Kelvinator ksr27g won't restart

There is a capacitor that blows from surges it will have an burnt smell to to and may show discoloration. careful it may have a charge in it. does the moter cycle on and off? If so it could be blown. Another thing that helps is if the motor has been trying to start repeatedly it will overheat you will need to turn it off and allow to cool down before restarting.

Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioner not turning on.

On some remotes there is a reset button which is pressed by using the nib of a pen. Or if this does not work you should look under the cover for a manual button, most units have one, and see if the aircon responds. I suspect your remote sensor is faulty, but try the previous suggestions first.

Found out that I could replace the C3 capacitor with a 100uF 35V (high temperature - 105 C). Spent $1.69 for the capacitor and 1/2 hour taking the unit out, soldering the new capacitor in, and remounting the upper clock unit back on the oven. Works like a charm. No need to buy the whole Clock/Temp unit, waste of money.

A/C does not properly cool.

Possible faulty run capacitor or overload protector. Call a repairman.
