Sound is distorted on Logitech quickcam 9000 at the receiving end

When I installed it I had a sound check and it worked. Then the software found and update and installed it--restarted my computer and I don't have sound. All tests are okay but distorted on the receiving end of my video/audio from two computers which leads me to believe it's my web cam.

Uninstall the Webcam drivers.

Reinstall the Webam drivers, there must be a tick box in the setup somewhere to let you stop automatic updates.

Look closely as the Reinstall proceeds.

I have a webcam but i don't have a cd installer, my webcam specification was LOGITECH M/N:V-UBM46, PID;LZ906BP, P/N 860--000109.. i do hope you can help me thanks....

The P/N will let you find the camera software for the 860-000109 here: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/3428?product=a0qi00000069v1bAAA . This part number is for the QuickCam Pro 9000 or the WebCam Pro 9000. Based on the model number, V-UBM46, you have the QuickCam Pro 9000. Scroll down to find the correct software for the operating system on your computer. The QuickCam Pro 9000 can be used with the LWS (Logitech Webcam Software) versions 1.1, 2.31, 2.51 and 2.80. LWS 2.51 and LWS 2.80 do not support the Video Effects. LWS 2.80 works with Windows 8 and 10 and the direct link to the program installer is http://www.logitech.com/pub/video/lws/lws280.exe . Links to all versions of LWS are at the bottom of the second chart. Additional information and FAQs are available here: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/quickcam-pro-9000 .

I hope this helps.

It is possible your webcam is either disabled or the driver is corrupted. Try reloading the webcam software driver, reboot, and then try the free webcam test tool to check if it is working properly.

My video stopped working on my Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. No picture or video. I just used it last on Tuesday and now nothing. I even reinstalled the software..still nothing. Help!

Check if the device enumerated
click on Start
Computer > right click > manage > Device Manager, click on it

You should see in "Imaging devices" a "USB Video Device".

If not then device did not enumerate.
If you see a yellow circle in "oher devices" try to updated the driver by clicking on it.

No video when using quickcam pro 9000 on google chat (gchat)

I had this problem but I fixed it. The google chat uninstaller does not uninstall everything. Go to the hidden folder Application Data of the default or local user in the Documents and Settings folder of the C drive, you will find the plugin folder for google chat. Delete it and then reinstall the plugin and it will work.
