How to remove a samsung 8kg top loader drum to pressure clean and remove black rubber like build up

It appears to be a known issue with these. I could put a couple of pints of CLR descaling solution in the bottom and leave it overnight. CLR is made for Calcium, Lime and RUST.

Check the water inlet feed flex lines it could be coming from them .

Try "Dr Beckmann Service-it" washing machine cleaner, available from most supermarkets.

Hi mine does exactly the same! I have to call in my washing machine technician more often (he told me this would happen with a top loader as opposed to a front loader, boy was he right!!) and he cleans out the drum. Mostly it is the fabric softener which is too thick. I water mine down to 50/50 and I do another spin after my final wash. I also empty the filter of water at the side/bottom of the machine. This annoying problem is caused by the way the drum turns on a top loader as opposed to the front loader. My top loader cannot heat water automatically either like a front loader, and I think this also adds to the problem as hot/boiling water would dissolve all that soap/fabric softener. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you need to have your machine looked at by a professional. You should not be finding rubber pieces in the machine.

on all front loaders, the smell comes from not been used every day, #1, and water sit at the bottom of the drum, is always water in the system from the top of the drain hose to the pump, and they, the manufacture recommend that you use some chemical once per month to clean the unit.
this is what I do. get a bucket of water and bleach 3 water 1 part bleach, get a rug that you do not need any more. wet the rug and with your hand open the door and put the rug unter the rubber around the glass door, in other worth's, the rubber that connects the door to the drum bucket rinclos and water and other material stays there, building mildew, would be good to wear a globe, and clean the inside of these rubber real nice, go around several times to make sure you don't miss a spot., the cloth well come out black means it is loaded. then put the rest of the water and bleach in the machine, add 2 caps of bleach in the machine, fill it to hi and let it stay for 1 hour or more in the drum, then have a gentle cycle, these well clean the rest of the unit. one more thing, if you have members of the family that forget coins or papers in they pocket. may have to do more work to clean and drain the unit, just let me know I well help you.

Hi all of them does it that is the staysoft having a reaction.only thing to do is to full it with water and remove the drian plug at bottom of machine to remove it.hope this helps

the black rubber is most likely fabric softener build up. The hose are the marks of the bowl perforations. Once this black 'stuff' builds up from the over use of fabric softener it could mean the end of the machine. The way to try and get rid of it is to wash an empty load in hot water with Epsom salts. This will loosen the black grease but be careful as some loads further on, large amounts could release and mark you clothes. If the bowls can be removed from the machine they could be scrubbed clean but this is a costly exercise. Tip from now on do not ever use fabric softener. end of story. Use low sudsing soap in your washer whether it be a top or front loader. www.thewashingmachineman.webs.com good luck

This is probably the seal around the door and drum. Professional work is required.

I am a recently retired engineer of 20 years once you have ruled out anything getting inside the machine by accident etc, like something in pockets or greasy overalls, then its likely to be the drum bearings, has the machine started to get noisy on the spin the drum bearings are covered by a rubber seal, this seal gets damaged or worn and water leaks into the bearings themselves washing out the grease back into the drum where the washing is, you could also notice slight water marks on the floor underneath the machine on the floor, take the back off and look for water marks coming from the drum outer casing behind the pulley, these marks will be brown and will originate from a small drain hole, if any of the above change the bearings before any real damage is done, either to the clothes or the machine, as repair can be expensive? sorry, hope i have helped you as to where to look at least,
