I have 2 headrest tv boss audio hp8pak and one works perfect but the other one got to dark i adjusted the brightness all the way up and tried to reset but coudnt find the reset. it was working perfectly but now its dark and when i change the color mode it works for a sec then turns to dark again

If the screen is too dark on the TV or the brightness keeps on continuing to change then the problem here is with the Energy Saving mode settings. By default the TV does set the Energy Saving to Auto, which means that the TV will automatically by it's self does adjust the screen brightness depending on the brightness of light it detects.
If your TV has already fully adjusted in brightness set up?, and there will be no good picture results?...try to adjust the "SCREEN-Screw" at the flyback slowly. If the picture still dark'?. the picture tube has need to rejuvenate.
Thats usually caused by the inverter especialy if the audio works perfectly. Often if you shine a bright flashlight into the screen you will see dark movement indicating the picture is working but its only a backlight issue. The Backlights hardly ever fail its almost always the inverter board. You can get the inverter boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com
This sounds like low screen voltage(A1)try adjusting the a1 voltage bottom control on flyback transformer if you have a voltmeter, voltage on crt base possible market screen or A1 shoud be beteen 350/500 volts when making adjustment remember to take into account current taken by meter If voaltage will not adjust flyback transformer will have to replaced
There are two small holes on the rear side through which you can adjust focus and screen. Use a flash light and locate the two adjustable slots inside the holes. This part carries high voltage. Do not use a metal screwdriver to adjust. Put the TV facing a mirror so you can see how it works. Do not turn more than 1/8th of a turn. The focus control makes picture sharp or fuzzy. Screen control could change brightness. While watching the picture in the mirror, slightly adjust the screen control. Do not turn too much. If it doesn't work, then call a JVC authorized repair center.
If the screen is dark, then the brightness and contrast adjustment must be poor. Use the MENU key (in the TV or the Remote, either) adjust the brightness and contrast as per your viewing convenience. Service manual for this model is not in my knowledge and you should not try to repair or troubleshoot it by yourself without proper knowledge of the circuit workings inside.
In my case, the adjustment was available from outside the TV. Sortof.
On the rear of the TVabout 2 inches to the right of the coax in, there
are two vertical slits on a little protrusion. Inside the slits are the
two adjustment screws. The lower screw adjusts brightness, the upper
screw adjusts focus.
try to open your tv and you can find the flyback ,in flyback you can see the screen and focus to adjust.use and try to rotate the screen,it control the brightness of your unit
The picture is very dark
it is mostly due to
1 power supply output is low.
2 voltage on crt g2 pin is low.
3 video output supply is low.
4 some components in luminance section might be defective or loose.
5 finally crt getting weak is set is old.
