The waves mean that the remote is vibrate mode. Try reprogramming the remote. Open the door, turn ignition on, press and release the valet button once then, press and hold the valet button. press the lock button on the remote. Vehicle should respond with a chirp from the siren. Release valet button, turn off ignition, test system.

SOURCE: got a new remote for my viper 791XZ and reprogrammed it .

this usually means that the remote did not recieve a signal back from the module or the module did not recieve the remote signal
have you tried repeatively to press the unlock button? does the remote starter work or aux( trunk ) ?
also when putting the battery in the remote , be easy because there is a connector plug soldered on the board real close to where the battery is , and if it is hit by the battery hard enough it will cause those solder connections to disconnect and you will get the beeps and or other malfunctions

SOURCE: remote keypad

Like I posted for another question.....
Try removing the 15 amp fuse on the red wire to the brain of the alarm.  Wait a few minutes and reinstall.  I have the Clifford version of this alarm and have had to do it a couple times.  Also try the one way remote and see if it works.  If the one way works and the two way works but gives an error this show fix it (for awhile).  I think DEI is having a problem and don't want to do anything about it.

SOURCE: My Viper 791xv remote isn't receiving the page

My battery ran low and I jump started my car which some how caused the problem. My viper technician made me a buy new remote but the problem continued even with the new remote.
Try disconnecting the battery of your car for ten minutes and then reconnecting it. It worked for me. Now i have a extra remote which i don't need.

How can i turn my security light off so i can start my car?

Jeremy: According to eHow.com: "
  • 1 Press the "Unlock" key on your key fob to deactivate the alarm and unlock the car doors. If you've lost your key fob, unlocking the driver's side door with the key automatically deactivates the PT Cruiser's alarm.
  • 2 Look for the black alarm box underneath the dashboard, on the driver's side of the car. Locate the override button on the box -- either a black or red button, depending on the year of the PT Cruiser -- but don't press it yet.
  • 3 Put the key in the ignition and turn the key so that the battery is on, but the engine doesn't start. Quickly push and hold in the override button until you hear the alarm sound once, indicating the alarm is disabled.

My key remote will not unlock the car doors and neither will the key

Unfortunately, you have to list a year and what type of vehicle. But, it sure sounds like the battery is dead.

Try and replace the battery on the key fob device. If that doesnt work, the fob has gone bad

Take the key apart, replace the battery. The car needs to relearn the key, so stick it in the ignition, turn the car to the "on" setting without starting, press the unlock button on the fob. Thats it!

NOTE: If key buttons operated repeatedly while vehicle out of range or batteries replaced and system becomes inoperative, proceed as follows:

2006 bmw 325i remote only unlocks driverside door. will not unlock all doors when you lock it from the inside. have to use key in remote to open door. also central button to unlock doors is inop

fuse 56 and 57 control central locking, the issue is caused by surges typically in the front door lock actuators, normally at a dealer they would replace fuse 56 and 57 with a 20a mini fuse and if still occuring repl the door lock(s) that dont work or typically both front, first replace fuse 56 and 57 with 20a fuses as were too small from factory and than operate ten to 15 times, if it doesnt work at first dont panic, let the car go to sleep which takes about 16 min and than try again this problem has nothing to do with the key fob or the lock unlock button inside, also the fuses are located behind the glove box just rere the access panel and they are found at lower left section

I can't disable my anti theft device on my chevy malibu 2004 and my car will not start

This usually works.Lock the doors with the remote.Press lock twice sounding the alarm. Then press the unlock button twice.Your car should start now.If that doesnt work try this,Lock the car again with the remote once.Go over to the passenger side door and use the key to unlock the door then press in the door unlock all doors.Hopefully by now it worked. Now if none of these work your security probably malfunctioned and theres only two things that will work,One is disconnecting the battery for 5 mins then reconnecting.unlock doors.the start. If that doesnt work you'll have to take it to the dealer to get the security reset or replaced. The steps I have wrot you are the diagnostics to reset it.I hope these work for you and good luck.See ya had have a great day..

My buttons on my 2005 honda accord 4 cylinder car wont work

I assume this is the only remote you have? If not does the other have the same result? Have you changed the battery in the remote? If yes, is it installed with the right polarization?

The alarm isnt working... car wont start, buttons wont work!

Just a possibility, but a discharged battery could be the culprit. Do the headlights come on brightly? Will the horn blow normally? A 'dead' battery will usually have enough power to illuminate LED warning lights, while not having enough current to operate the starter/door solenoids, etc. Have somebody test the battery voltage to be sure.
