Sometimes you are not able to Uninstall a toolbar locally, not sure about Ask, but there are many that install over time and some don't even know how it got on their computer: lots of times it associated with some kind of xxxWare: Adware, Sypware, Malware, etc.

The trouble with toolbars is they do not completely uninstal using their uninstaller and have a habit of re-installing themselves
Download the 'Revo free uninstaller' using the download button at the bottom of the Freeware column and use the 'Advanced' mode.
The program allows the normal uninstaller to do the job and then checks the registry and system for remnants left behind. any remnants check all the boxes and hit 'Delete all'

To remove ask toolbar .double click my computer.you will now see your c drive, at the top of the page you will see uninstall or change programs,click this then you will see a list of programs ,find ask toolbar in list click on it and click on uninstall and follow directions.

Right Mouse click on the toolbar and a menu will appear with all the toolbars, just tick those you want to work.
To uninstall the software click on start - control panel - add/remove programmes - select ASK toolbar.
