If it hadn't been formatted, most Sony Vaio systems will have a VAIO recovery wizard which can be used to create a set of CDs called the Recovery Media Kit that will enable you to do a system recovery on your Sony VAIO machine. If you are lucky enough to know someone with the same model computer you could make a set from their system.

Otherwise, you can call Sony at 1-800-488-SONY to have them send you the disks for a small fee.

Sometimes there is a back-up partition on a hard drive that is setup by pre-loaded software. if you boot your computer by holding F11 or in some compuers F12 it will go to a restore to factory default software.

Hope this works for you!

Sony Vaio VGN-NR498E recovery disk

Hello

Well, the recovery disks won't allow you to go to your present system. The recovery disks are designed to put everything back the way it was when you bought the computer, minus all your applications and data. If it's your data that you need then a reputable repair service like mine can slave your hard drive to another system and recover all your data (not applications), provided the hard drive has not electronically or mechanically malfunctioned. Again, a reputable repair person can tell you the status of the hard drive.

Thanks

Tv turner not working in sony vaio VGN-AX570G

Hi,
I have to ask this question, due to people posting in wrong categorys.
Is This A Sony-Vaio VGN-AX570G Laptop Computer, your struggling to find drivers for ?
All Vaios Come With Restore Disks. If you have these i,d suggest doing a system restore, whereby all of your original Vaio Software will be repaired-replaced on your hard-drive.
If you don,t have the Vaio Restore Disks, you can purchase on-E-bay for About £15.00.
No help on Vaios support Site For That Actual Model.
