Does your handset have a PROG button? Press that, then press the VOL+ button until you come to RINGER VOL: OFF. Press SELECT button, then use the ^ (VOL+) key until you get the desired volume level. Press SELECT again, then OFF. You're good to go.

I believe you can navigate through the menu and when you get to the ringer part push up on the navigation arrow. That should work. Thanks for using Fixya.Com.........Enjoy your evening!

    I can navigate through the menu only with up and down arrows and I see ringer volume and tone but when I push up the navigation arrows it just changes the window. Pushing the side arrows does nothing. Not working so far.

How do I turn off the ringer to my vtech, model6032 telephone.

Ring volume

The handset ringer volume can be adjusted from five levels.

• Press MENU/SELECT to display menu when in idle mode.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to reach Setup HS. Press MENU/SELECT.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to reach Ring volume . Press MENU/SELECT.

• Press up arrow or down arrow to scroll through the choices and a sample of each ring

volume will be played. Press MENU/SELECT to confirm.

• The screen displays Stored and you'll hear a confirmation beep.

You can adjust the ringer volume by pressing VO L+/VOL- on the
telephone base when the telephone is ringing.

CAN THIS PHONE RINGER BE CUT OFF

Hi,

To cutoff ringer volume in Vtech cordless phones,you have to turn off the base ringer.
Handset:
program button->up/down" key to cycle until you see the Ringer selection->up/down" key(s) to cycle until the OFF selection
Base Ringer:
Menu->press menu until you hear "Base Ringer, to change base ringer press change"->PLAY/STOP button to save

Hi, how do you turn the ringer on of vtech 5.8 GHZ cordless phone IA5863. it just won't ring and we can't hear if there is somebody calling us. ynx

I turned the ringer off on my phone and now theres no dial tone.

Unplug the phone entirely for about 5 minutes and then plug it back in and see if this works.Good Luck!
