If you mean the thermal fuse, the set should have a red blink code of 5 blinks. The thermal fuse is way inside on the frame of the lamp housing but can be tested with rear cover removed.
If you have one bad the red blinking light will have to display some code.
Replace lamp in tv because symptom shows lamp is near to end of its working hours life and causing that problem. If lamp has not been replaced in tv in last 2-3 years, its time to replace it to solve the issue. Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual. Thanks.
You have a blown thermal fuse.Replacement requires removal of the optical block. Not for an unskilled tech.Replace thermal fuse part#191002393 and clean all the fans.
Hi, the thermal fuse i located right next to the lamp is actually mounted on the lamp casing, deep inside the tv, you will need to disassemble the tv in order for you to get to it, if don't have any skill is better that you call the repairman and you are looking at $250.00 repair.
good luck
do a google, Sony 4 red blinking lights, there is lots to read. Read it all. We had 6 blinking lights and it was at $20 thermal fuse that we reinstalled ourselves and saved lots. It was past warranty. You can also put a message out on the blogs. But do your homework, it's worth it. Good Luck, Kim
