First install the software that came with the camera on CD, to the computer. Only then you can connect the camera and manage the pictures on your camera and put them on your computer.

SOURCE: How can I down load

As long as you didn't shoot the video in AVCHDLite, you can use a card reader and download them to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can open them in iMovie. Macs can't open AVCHD Lite movies.

HOW TO PUT PICTURES ON FACE BOOK PAGE

If you're using iPhoto on the Mac, select the photos you want to put on FaceBook and go to 'Share', there's a FaceBook option there... you'll need to put in your FB details when asked so iPhoto can connect.

I use a mac. Have all pictures stored on iphone and would love to know how to get the photos to my photo frame. Not sure how to get pictures from iphoto to a memory card or whatever it is I need to do.

Use iPhoto to get the images off your iPhone and onto your Mac, then export you selected images to a media format the photo frame support.
Now without knowing the requirements of the photo frame but going to guess it accepts and USB thumb drive. Once you have imported your images into iPhoto from your iPhone, plug in the USB thumb drive to your Mac. In iPhoto, select the images you wish to move to your photo frame ( either select an album or individual images). Then go to the File Menu and pull down to Export and save the images to your Thumb drive. For best results for image quality on the photo frame you will want to match the export size with the native resolution of the photo frame.

Why can't I upload my photos from my finepix s1500 onto my mac? It opened the files in my iphoto but they showed up as blank boxes and "Error downloading images - iPhoto cannot import your photos...

Is this a new problem - that is, did it work in the past? Are you trying to import jpeg or raw?

First thing is to see if it is iphoto or the camera that has a problem.

Try uploading the images to another computer (try a PC - not that it is better, but PC is different). If the images can be seen & read there, the images are likely fine and iphoto may need an upgrade to read the format from the finepix s1500. Alternately, try copying the photos from your memory card (use a memory card reader) to your hard disk. See if another application can see the images (even use a word processor to import image), or e-mail the image to yourself and then use your web-browser to see the image.

If the camera images can't be read by multiple computers/multiple readers, then it may be that your memory card is corrupted.

Trying to upload photos from my Canon Power shot SD780 is to my Mac but when I plug in the cable the camera says "incompatible jpeg". And no icon to upload the photos shows up on my Mac.

if using iPhoto, check for software updates. When the newer cameras come out, sometimes it results in incompatibility with the software and they're always working to update this.
Also check your card in your camera. Some of the newer high speed cards struggle with uploads. You can purchase aftermarket high speed card readers and this will allow firewire rapid uploads direct to iPhoto and Aperture.

Computer does not recoznise images file

.Nef is Nikon's RAW image identifier. See if there's an update for iPhoto at Mac website. Perhaps your camera (if it's new) is not yet set up to upload to iPhoto. You didn't indicate what camera you're using.

Lost iphoto back catalog after an import, is there anyway to recover these photos?

the back catalog of your images are not gone. Since the pictures you have uploaded form your camera to iPhoto all those files are still there. All you need to do is re-load the images into the library of iPhoto.
1) Start iPhoto, then in the menu goto File / Add to library..
2) Then a file browsing window will open, all you need to do is locate the folder in which u had specified to iPhoto. (Default location for iPhoto is located at MainHD / Users / Username / Pictures / iPhoto Library
3) Once you have located the folder or folders you wish to add to your library or catalog just press import. And all the images should show in the catalog.
4) if you have more pictures saved in another folder, then repeat steps 1 to 3 again. but in step 2 locate the folder or drive you wish to import from.
