you need to take the door apart to be able to replace the handle
is a easy job but remember the order you take it apart to be able to put it back on

Door locked

Try turning the main power off at the socket for 5 mins - the door may open then , if not turn the power back on and see what happens.
i had this problem on an Electrolux and it worked.

Ewf 1074 sudden stop no power

I have the same problem "no power at all" when plug into the power wall inlet. No lamp on, display is blank/no led of 7 segments lit, nothing. The door can be opened and closed normally. Holding Delay and Extra Rinses buttons when power on the electrolux EWF 1074, doesn't help either. The electricity wall plug in is active. What can I do more ?

I have Electrolux 7kg Eco Wash System EWF 1074 about three and a half years. It's taking very long time to wash. I realized that last one minute goes forever. It takes a lot longer than it says.

Its not unusual for these machines to take a long time. Especially if you are using a heating ( Warm / hot wash) cycle.

My electrolux ewf 1481 front loader wont spin

Open the flap, bottom right of the front panel and check the filter is clear. Most machines will not spin until they have expelled all the water. You may want to check the hose is not block and any connections to the sink if it's not on a standpipe.
Most new machines have quite sensitive out of balance detection so if it an odd load try again but add a few extra items to allow the machine to distribute the load evenly prior to spin. Hope this helps

E40 error is door interlock faulty, could be the lock or it could be the pcb u have to test them.

Electrolux EWF 1074 get a lock icon

you need to hold the option and extra rinse buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds...you will see the padlock symbol go and then use your machine as usual

Press and hold the 'Delay' and 'Extra Rinse' buttons together and it will 'unlock' your control panel (this is a tamper proof feature for the kiddies)

I just went through the same thing.......you need to hold the option and extra rinse buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds, this will unlock it.....so turn the machine on and press the two icons, dont worry about the beeping and flashing after 6 seconds the padlock symbol will go and you can use the machine as usual.....i wish they put that 'minor detail' in the manual...cheers!!

It's a safety feature to stop you (or the kids) changing the program settings whilst mid cycle. Holding the 'Extra Rinse' and 'Delay' buttons simultaneously should turn it off.
