I wash doing was and the machine first gave me the error code of E20 and their was water in the bottom of the basin. We cleaned out the water lines but still could not get the washer to start. It just sounds like the gears or something is not catching to spin the washer. I unplugged the washer and then try to start it again but this time I got the error code of E41. Can any one help with this? I have the E20 code too..
Hi
E20 is a drainage error. If there is water in the drum make sure the discharge pipe at the back of the machine is not kinked or blocked. You should also check the pump filter is not clogged - this is behind the front panel underneath the drum at the front of the machine.
E41 = Control board thinks the door switch is open. This points towards a faulty door switch on the machine.
Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many thanks.
E-20 code means "water did not drain from washer". Check hoses first, make sure they are not blocked. Then, check the little "trap" that catches stuff before it goes through the water pump; this is done by opening up the lower front panel of the washer (two philips screws at base/front let you open panel). Use a large plier to remove large hose clamps from the rubber diaphragm just before the pump, stuff gets stuck in here blocking the pump. socks, small bits of clothing, loose change, etc can get in this diaphragm. If this part is not clogged and you still cant solve the problem, make sure you SNAKE THE ENTIRE DRAIN HOSE, you would not beleive what the water discharge pump will process and then stuff gets stuck in the hose. I had to remove the drain hose from the machine and found a small metal part in the hose (junk...) that was collecting lint and thus making the hose flow slowly. Very hard to find. Cannot beleive the pump would **** up a metal part (a razor blade from a utility knife) but it did, and it clogged the hose where the hose exits the back of the washer.
SOURCE: Frigidaire Front loading washer error codes E41 and E20
This error is caused by a clogged drain filter located under the drum assembly.
Hello Diane Snow, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your Frigidaire washer is displaying "E20" error code. The "E20" error code means water is not pumping out fast enough. First, you want to check the hoses for restrictions.
If the hoses are not restricted it could be an issue with the drain pump or control board. I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I see your question is labeled under Frigidaire washer, ATF6000ES, and your washer is receiving an error code of "E20". "E20" stands for the water is not pumping out fast enough which means it could be an issue with your control panel or drain pump. I would recommend having a professional come out and properly repair your appliance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
