UA-25 V2.0 Drivers won't install to Windows XP laptop

I tried to install the supplied drivers supplied on the disc to no avail. It kept going around  in circles requesting that I connect after I adjusted the control panel and then disconnect it after a error message alert  states that I disconnect it and try again. I assumed this must be an issue with the various service packs and security updates by Microsoft.

Since I've tried to install the latest downloaded version 2.0 from the Roland website. I've installed it as per before, but I get a prompt saying that I've already installed or have similar drivers installed. Also states that I should un-install the existing drivers. Would this be referring to the existing drivers installed by the manufacturer of the laptop (e.g. Sound MAX)?

SOURCE: Problem with stability

Celeron CPU's will struggle with making music and limit what you can do with audio. Celerons are ok to play music but nor really for making music. Firewire is a better option for making music as it's really fast unlike USB. An option would be to get a faster CPU and try the soundcard again. But i would not use USB audio and would use an Audiophile 2496 soundcard as they are really cheap. Also midi is data and not audio, midi just works virtual instruments and is able to control keyboards through midi out. But first try a better CPU as a celeron isant that good for makign music. I know becouse i've been there done that and go really upset with the same problems your having at the moment. I played the midi files on cuabse and recorded it onto an audio chanel.

SOURCE: no sound driver

Most probably yes. Do you know the model number or the manufacturer of your sound card? if yes, then please check it up on the manufacturer's website first. Otherwise do a google search.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Can get signal from UA-25 to computer... but no audio from computer to UA-25?

Here is one solution uninstall the default driver or roll back driver. Restart your computer. When you get into windows wait for everything to load and then plug in your audio device. If you have it plugged in when windows starts then it will install a driver. In automatic updates you can select to notify of updates, but lets you install the ones you want.

I have acer laptop aspire 5736z with windows 7 but i wanted to change the windows xp but it brings the error message (blue screen). it stops installing windows xp. what could be the problem. it boots well...

The problem is your computer uses a SATA hard drive and windows XP doesn't naitively support SATA. You have three options around this.
  1. Go into BIOS and if you have disable SATA/AHCI and set it to SATA/IDE emulation mode
  2. Download nlite http://www.nliteos.com/download.html and download sata drivers from intel's website and build your own windows XP disc and incorporate the sata drivers into it. Then use this disc to install.
  3. Download VirtualBox http://www.virtualbox.org/ and install XP in a virtual machine to run on top of Windows 7
Windows XP will go end-of-life in 2014 and then Microsoft will no longer make software that is compatible FYI.
Comment if you need any additional assistance.

Need a recovery disc! i recently bought one with a completely erased hard drive. i have xp software and key dut need to recover disc prior to loading. any help?

If HP/Compaq cannot supply you with a recovery disc, then you can get around this.
Install Windows XP then download the device drivers for your model laptop and install them on your laptop. You can use a another computer with Internet access then copy and install them on your laptop.

You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Video Adapter for ati xpress 200m

Toshiba don't do drivers for XP. The ATI website states the following

Advisory:
The display driver supplied by the laptop manufacturer is customized for the built-in flat panel display, and the graphics features and functions specific to the laptop. It is strongly recommended to use the supplied drivers.
If installing a different operating system other than the one included with the laptop, the laptop may not meet all the requirements, and supported drivers may not be available.
The laptop manufacturer is the exclusive provider of driver updates. If the required driver update is not available at the laptop manufacturers’ website, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer directly, to see if an updated driver will be made available in the future.
AMD cannot provide driver updates directly from AMD.com.

DOWNLOAD INSTALLATION DISC FOR MULTIPASS C555

Unless you're installing the software on Mac OS9, or Windows 2000 or earlier, the original installation disc isn't going to do you any good. Drivers are available here for Windows XP and earlier and Mac OS9 (there are no drivers available for Mac OS X). Be sure and read all notes (when you click on a driver download link), and get the upgrades for Windows 2000 or Windows XP SP2 if you're installing on either of these systems. Good luck!

How to install XP in toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 laptop

You cannot uninstall Windows Vista, but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall your old operating system, you must have the original installation disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain the hard disk space used by Windows Vista, reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.
