HP D4160 Everything OK, except blinking orange arrow; cant print!

Hello, I need help on this ASAP! I have a printing problem with my HP Deskjet D4160. A few days ago I was printing some documents. The first pages were printed successfully, but the printer would stop and print the last page very slowly. It took about 5 minutes to print the last page, whereas normally it would only take a few seconds to print a single page. Now, my printer can't seem to print no matter how many times I disconnect, reconnect, turn off, turn on. Checked the ink cartridges and they're in right. No paper jam. The green power button light is on, but the resume button (orange arrow) keeps on blinking. Help please?

HP deskjet 6940 has been installed. I see it in printers and it says ready but nothing will print to it. On the front of the printer there is a blinking orange arrow. What does that mean?

hello, have you tried pressing the orange button to see if machine will continue and pick up paper and print, also are there any other lights that come on, you might want to take paper out, and turn it around, and install back in. and try again. you might also want to change one ink cartridge at a time to see if that also might be the problem

Cant get the orange arrow button to stop blinking

TRy HOLDING the power button (green) down and pressing the resume button (orange arrow) 10 times. Release both buttons. You may get a self-test print out of the printer after which, the resume button should be off.
I just tried this on my printer and it worked. I do not know if fewer than 10 presses will work. I know 4 presses did not.

good luck

Changed cartridges, won't print, yellow arrow flashes

Generic cartridges can cause problems like this. Try using HP cartridges instead. If using HP cartridges, then try cleaning/aligning the print nozzle with the software that came with the printer.

Printer won't print and resume light keeps flashing

I went through the HP troubleshooting and it started printing OK when I Stopped and Started the Print Spooling under Administration Services:

-START
-Control Panel
-Administrative Tools
-Services
-Scroll Down & Right Click on Print Spooler, Choose STOP, then OK (if needed)
-Right Click again, choose START, then OK (If needed)

After a few moments, it started right up for me and the Test Page I had in the que.

Hope this helps someone.
