Pioneer PDP435PG inadvertently reprogrammed by Casablanca remote.

Pioneer plasma tv suddenly shut off by itself when we "programmed" a new Casablanca remote to match the Casablanca ceiling fan in the same room. When we turned on the plasma TV, the green light came on but became red immediately. We unplugged the control unit and the screen and then plugged both units to another power supply but same result. The green light would come on but immediately turn red. Today after 4 weeks, we reinstalled the unit but same result. Then we "programmed" the Casablanca (channel 62) and the Pioneer plasma's control unit and screen's green and red light would alternately light continuously, unlike
earlier, it would just turn green then red and then nothing. Thanks

SOURCE: Pioneer PDP 5030 power supply problem

Ok here's how I manage solve the problem... Having the back removed opens the contacts on the interlock switch so I guess if it powers up in this state it senses the high voltages are exposed and for safety shuts down... After this the unit will not power up and the power led flashes red continuously as described before…
After some thought it occurred to me that there may not be a problem at all, just be a simple reset function for this condition… I managed to find an easy solution to this… Just call up the hidden engineer’s service menu – On 3rd generation Pioneer Plasmas it’s as follows > Power down the screen > Hold down the “Input” and “Vol +” buttons on the front > Power the screen up and the Service menu comes up on the screen > You don't need to change anything just simply power off and from then the screen should operate as normal…It did for me so I’m well happy now!!
I hope this information will help someone else one day – Good Luck!!…Rob UK…

SOURCE: Can't turn on from Stanby mode

I would assume the power board has a problem. A tech could possibly repair it without replacing the whole board.

SOURCE: Was watching tv and suddenly

the blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one

Hope this helped

I can't get my Pioneer Plasma TV to allow me to select HDMI it's not lit up and my remote won't be able to select it.

The hdmi cord must be connected to your tv and the other device. Your tv should recognize this immediately. When plugging in new cords. Unplug tv first. This will help it to reset itself.

Pioneer plasma pdp435pg

Sounds like panel fault. Before make it sure, check the site linked here. It has illustrations to defective plasma screens. You can compare it to that your TVs' and make sure. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Timeslide, can be selected by the dropdown list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

Remote control dosnt work on this tv

I have the same plasma Pioneer tv. I also tried a replacement remote and no fix. I replaced the infrared receiver module (~$4 from Radio Shack) on the TV, yes it involved taking the tv apart. Voila, now I have two working remotes.

TV keeps shutting off automatically

Since your plasma is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under warranty. If the plasma keeps shutting off by itself, that is not normal and should be repair.
