I have an "invisible" TomTom (Blue&Me 2) in my Fiat 500, and I am trying to replace the car cursor and startup screen with custom content. I was able to get the content onto the TomTom with MyDrive, but every time I put the TomTom in the in-dash Fiat mount, the startup screen and cursor are replaced with ones called "Fiat_500" in the "Branded" folder. Is there a way to access the filesystem on this device to replace those files with the ones I want? Or is there a way to stop the auto selection of this cursor / startup screen when I put the TomTom in the mount?
It can be done but its not easy.
1. Borrow a tomtom off a friend that has an older version that connects upto tomtom HOME and not My Drive connect.
2.Make a copy of the contents of that device onto the desktop of your pc. (*create a folder and call it tomtom)
3. Now on the copy, your done with the borrowed unit. Open the map folder and add the 'car' images you want into the 'brand' folder. If it doesnt exist create one in the map folder naming it 'brand'
4. Now copy everything onto a SD card
5. Go onto tomtom website and download 'tomtom content transfer assistant' and install
6. Connect your newer device to the pc and run the connect assistant.
7. Plug in the sd card when asked (connect old device)
It will then copy start up, shut down images, brand folder over to the new unit.
This should allow what ever you put in the brand folder to be displayed.

SOURCE: TomTom One V3 - Problem connecting to TomTom Home
I have the same problem in NL.. TT Home has problems downloading over Wireless connections.
Try connecting the computer to the internet via a cable. You may have to restart TTHome or maybe even your PC. The download should be quicker and more reliable :)
The problem is related to the MTU size and working around that can be very technical.
