About 5 months ago my Hotpoint dishwasher wouldn't dissolve the solid tablets a used to clean my dishes, so i switched to the new soft Finnish tabs, and that seemed to do the trick. only recently they havn't been disolving either, so i tried washing powder and all sorts, but nothing i use is doing the trick an my dishes are still dirty after putting a load in. can you help me?? Anna Hotpoint Aquarius FDW70T - the dishwasher tablet remains in its soap box and therefore dirty dishes. The cycle runs ok and no error codes being shown...usually the the soap box is open once cycle is finished however now it remains closed and tablet still there...help, please
I don't have a solution, but the exact same problem is happening with my dishwasher. Nothing is getting cleaned properly.

put your wash" on the hotest cycle.Do this without any items in the machine, Do this at least twice.if this will not solve your problem use bycarbonated soda.On a single wash,use bycarb In place of washing tablets, it is probably the return water on your filter pipe, (that is clogged) You may have hard water, in which case do your total rinse every month on the hottest cycle. let me know how you have got on, BERT

It sounds like you have a water supply issue. If you are on well water the screen in the water valve may be clogged. You can access this, remove it and clean it on most dishwashers. It is located in the valve where the water hooks up to the unit.
