Kenmore Elite front load washer (model: 110 42936200) won't spin. It makes a buzzing/humming sound when it should be spinning. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the rear bearing. If you hear the noise when you manually spin the drum or if the drum has any movement when you lift up on it then you need major repairs

does it ever give an error code? a common problem on whirlpool made machines is the dispenser arm getting caught when changing positions. This part is in rear of detergent dispenser housing and uses a motor and a arm to select detergent/ softner/ bleach/ and fill. you can remove top (screws on back) to watch this.
