HI I have a Technics PR-305 Digital piano Since 2001 a little over 12 years The LCD Screen Light up only in the Center part of it Can that be fixed. Also I have a distortion in my speakers can that be fixed or would i have to get new speakers, where would they sell them, would that be at a Radio Shack?
It sounds like you are in need of a new piano. These are common issues with keyboards. The age is a big factor. It would cost just as much in repairs as it would to buy a new keyboard.
I learned it`s cheaper to replace the speakers in a Digital Piano they are not cheap replacement but better than to replace the whole digital piano
I learned that you can replace the speakers on the Digital Piano when they are distorted. You can put in clavinova speakers in as a replacement if they are the same size, you can also look up www.mikebarden.com/ he repairs Technics Roland Korg and Yamaha Digital Pianos.
I learned It`s not a cheap repair, but it`s cheaper then buying another piano.
i learn that you can re foam the speakers by putting in a rubber suround.

The contacts of various switches and keys are likely dirty. They are often conductive rubber and need cleaning with 99% isoprophly alcohol and q-tip. Clean both the conductive rubber pill and th circuit board traces they contact.
SOURCE: How to open 3 demo pieces of Technics SX-PC10
Usually you just select which demo BEFORE starting the demo.
If you are meaning to try to DOWNLOAD via MIDI or other those demo pieces that is USUALLY not possible as the pieces are stored in a ROM which is inaccessible via MIDI or USB.
They OFTEN don''t even send them out on the MIDI port when playing them.
