LG wont recognise memory card!!

I just got a new LG Rumor(this is my 3rd)and i took the memory card out of my other lg and tried to put it in my new one but it wont recognise it. does this mean i have to buy a whole new memory card? uggh i hate this phone! when i first put in the mini card it said formant needed. so i put it in my laptop and formatted it with windows. put songs and video from my laptop to card.. put card into phone now it says "card not ready"???

You have to make sure your contacts are saved on to your Sim card because if they were stored on the phone's memory they wont appear on your new phone when you switch the sim card over. Once you are on the phonebook you should be able to see a setting that says something like IMPORT contacts to sim card and then when you put it in the new phone you will hit IMPORT contacts to phone.

Did you format the SD card for your phone?
Turn off the phone and seat the SD card. Turn on the Phone and goto menu > settings > tools> memory > card memory > memory usage > options - Format card.

LG Cookie Won't Recognise Memory Card
it will need to be smaller then 8gb...... also micro SD......... NOT micro SDHD .....you also need to format it using the phone (check user guide for info on how to do this)

Cannot transfer music from memory card to phone,
Before you put your songs and file on your memory card did you first insert the memory card into your phone, and then formatted it?

I have the LG Rumor as well and i haven't figured out a way to make the songs available as a ring tone yet, it only gives me the option of downloading new ringtones, and I can only play my music in the music player ='(
