Long shot, but does it fill the same as when new? I would check the atmospheric switch which is a hollow tube that runs down the inside of the drum(not in the wash cage) when the water fills, It pushes air up to stop the fill. It may have gotten clogged. Or partially clogged.
The washer drain the water if you put on spin. all electronically controlled washer won't unlock the door and or spin if there's water inside the water has to be drained out first. If the basket didn't move(no motor movement) and it finished the cycle, POSSIBLE problem is the motor control board.
Motor Control Board 00436461
Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

Take the drain hose out of the drain pipe and put it into a sink to test the machine
If that works make sure that the drain hose is being allowed to breath (ie let air into the main drain pipe so that the machine does not set up a syphon).
Do you hear the motor spinning loud whirring noise, when drum is not,if so drum belt has come off or snapped,if no noise possible brushes on motor need replacing
Hi there, this problem sounds as though the carbon brushes are needing replaced or infact just needing to be cleaned of dust or dirt. Its very common for the brushes to be covered in dust and fibres. Im not sure where the brushes will be on this model but I hope this helps you in someway.
