Need remote controller

It can't be done. The Sanyo remote is for a standalone VCR - DVD recorder. It has no programming capabilities.

1) power on the player with no disk in the drive 2) pres pause on the remote 3) enter "314159" on the remote 4) enter "0" on the remote (0 = all regions, 1 = region 1 etc) 5) press pause on the remote 6) power the player off and then back. on the remote for thetelevision there will be a signal input switch or button. Check to see where or which input the DVD/CD player is pluged into. As an example: when you watch TV the input would be 'TV'. When you want to watch a DVD the switch should be changed to the corresponding input #. All the inputs are labled on the back of the TV. The TV audio out should go the audio in on the home theater system.

If your TV remote can be programmed control the Theater system, do that and try to use as few remotes as possible to avoid getting confused. You will need the home theater brand and look in the TV's manual for the input code. There are probably more than one so be patient.

No matter what you enter the devices as, the software will determine what it actually is and set the type.

Try this:

1. Remove disc from tray.
2. Switch off player and unplug power cord.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect power cord.
4. Turn on player with remote. Wait for player to finish loading and display 'no disc'.
5. Press enter on remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
6. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 on the remote. (There will be no on-screen response.)
7. Press enter on the remote. Player will automatically shut off.
8. Turn player on.
9. Turn off.
10. Turn player on then off again.
11. Player is now region-free.

you could go back and try the hack again,following the steps,to see if it works.

Component 1 on the TV is probably an input, not an audio output. You need to find out if your TV has audio output jacks.
If I'm mistaken, and you are using audio output jacks from the TV, then you just need to press FUNCTION on your remote until the LCD display says "TV/VCR".

I have a DWM 3000u that won't play some new DVDs. The movie is pixlated. Is there a firmware fix or do I need to buy a machine?
