PUK code for Nokia 1600

Hi!  I am locked out of my phone & it is prompting me for the PUK code and I can't find this?? Thank you so very much for your help!  Also, as a side note, I live in Southern California and if you can please remember us in your prayers as many have lost so much!   thank you again! sheri

Complete information :
The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.

If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUK

Note:
card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number

  • If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.
  • If the message Wrong PIN followed by Old PIN appears then it means that you have entered the old PIN incorrectly.

To unblock your SIM card:
  1. When PIN Blocked appears enter your PUK > OK
  2. Enter a new four to eight PIN > OK
  3. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm > OK

To edit your PIN:
  1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Change PIN
  2. Enter your PIN > OK
  3. Enter a new four to eight digit PIN to confirm > OK

To turn the SIM card On /Off
  1. > Settings > the General tab > Security > Locks > SIM Protection > Protection and select On or Off
  2. Enter your PIN > OK

the sim has got blocked ...
it will ask for the PUK code when you try inserting the wrong pin
for 3 times ...

so to get the PUK code follow these steps:
1. call to your network provider s customer care from some of your friends number of the same network ...
tell your number & ask them for the PUK code..
2. they may ask you the details of sim like in whose name it is etc..
answer that ...
3. after that they will provide you the PUK code note it down
4. enter the noted PUK number to your cell ...
5. your sim will get unlocked ....

caution: if you try inserting the wrong PUK codes for more than 5 or 10 times it will completely block the sim after that you must contact the network provider s shoppe only to get it unlocked ..
remember this ...

Hi, If your handset asks for PUK code, you need to contact the service provider and provide them 20 digit sim number for the PUK code . Service provider numbers will be toll free. SIM pin code:
This is a pin code that locks the sim card until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even
if your sim is put into another handset. To reset it, you need the PUK code:
Pin Unlock Code (PUK)
If you miss key (or forget) your SIM pin code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the SIM will lock up, and you’ll need to enter the PUK unlock code to release it. You should ask your Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don’t try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled.
Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets to only accept a “new” sim if the phone security code is entered. To reset it, you need the Master code code:
Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security Code wrongly too many times.

The default security code for Nokia is 12345
I need the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. Type this code in your phone to get it: *#06# you can also find it beneath the battery.
Then I’ll give you the Master code to reset your Security code.

Probably the powered off and you son tried to guess you PIN-code (the one you need to fill in at startup).
After three wrong PIN tries, you phone (or actually it's your SIM-card) locks up and the only way to unlock it is with a PUK or PUC (Personal Unlock Code). It's a 8-digit code.
Either you have got that code with your SIM-card, or you can get it from your provider. If you contact them and they have verfied that you are the owner off that SIM-card, they can give you the PUC code. After filling in the code, you phone will unlock again.
