Here's the link to the user manual if you need it; http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/GPS60_OwnersManual.pdf Garmin says; To manually enter in the coordinates for a waypoint on the 60 or 76 -series units, use the following steps: Press and hold the 'Mark' button. Use the up arrow to scroll up to the "Location" field and press 'Enter'. A new box pops up to enter in the new coordinates. Go to "OK" and press 'Enter'. Select "OK" at the bottom right corner to save all changes. Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Unable to load coordinates for a projected waypoint

There are two ways you can load a way point.

1. Hit mark on your GPS. Push up on your rocker until the coordinates are highlighted. Once they are hit enter. From here you can change the coordinates to what ever you want.

2. If you have the software (Mapsource Trip & Waypoint Manager) you can enter the waypoint by going to "Edit" then "New Waypoint" or hit Ctrl + W as a shortcut. Once you create all the points you need, plug in your GPS and turn it on, then click "Send to Device"

Make sure that your mapsource and GPS are both setup on the same datum and lat/lon style corrdinates as well or it could throw it off.

How do I save a new waypoint on my garmin 76cx?

Hi!

From your User's Manual Page 7:

You can create waypoints using three methods. Press the Enter/Mark key while at a location, create a waypoint on the Map page or you can manually enter lat/lon coordinates.

TO MARK YOUR CURRENT LOCATION
Press and hold the ENTER/MARK key until the Mark Waypoint page appears. A default three-digit name and symbol will be assigned to the new waypoint. To accept the waypoint with the default information, simply select OK.
To change any information, select the appropriate field and press ENTER to open the on-screen keypad. After entering and confirming the information you wish to use for the waypoint, select OK.

CREATING WAYPOINTS USING THE MAP
On the MAP page, use the ROCKER to move the pointer to the map item you wish to mark.
Press and QUICKLY release ENTER/MARK to capture the pointer location and open the information page for the map item.
Select SAVE. If there is no information for this point, a prompt will appear saying "No map information at this point. Do you want to create a user waypoint here?". Select YES.

If you require a User's Manual, you can view/download it from:
http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/GPSMAP76Cx_OwnersManual.pdf

Hope this is helpful to you.
Good Luck!

Memory full, cant delete stored favourite destinations, sat nav turns off when delete is pressed.

Hello vinny!!

Perform a hard reset to clear all your memory!!!

Step 1. Turn your Nuvi unit off, remove any SD cards from the SD card slot and make sure that the unit is not plugged into any computer.
Step 2. Place a fingertip on the upper left hand corner of the touch screen and keep it there while turning the unit on, a prompt should read " Do you really want to start in maintenance mode?"
Step 3. Select the yes button.
Step 4. Enter your PIN if enabled.
Step 5. Main Maintenance Mode screen should have 4 selections:
System information
View Diagnostics
Clear User data
Clear Waypoints
Step 6. Choose "Clear Waypoints". After some time the unit should reboot.

How do you set waypoints on the Magellan Meridian gold. To and from a location?

Press and hold the GOTO button for 2 seconds. A "Mark" screen will appear. If you are saving your current location, highlight the "Save" at bottom of screen and press enter. This will save you current location. You can edit the name of the waypoint at this screen also. You can do this before you save the waypoint or you can go to Menu/Database/User/Waypoint (the one you want to edit)/Enter. At this screen you can edit the name by pressing the arrow up or down to get to the name field and press "enter" to get to the alphabet screen. If you are entering a waypoint using coordinates, do the above but edit the coordinates to the ones you want to use and then save.

Insert a EMPTY card press DATA than ARCHIVE AND TRANSFARE than SAVE TO CARD choose what you want to save or save all.

Memory full is being displayed when i try to go to a new destination and when i try to delete a favourite the unit turns off.

Garmin nuvi 610 T
memory full was being displayed on screen whilst on destination ,sometimes followed by route waypoint memory full .

I found by turning unit off , then holding finger on top left of screen ,and at the same time turning back on again the unit would go into maintenance mode.
Follow prompts on screen to reset waypoint memory.
Mine works as good as gold now, hope this helps!
