i have the same problem, from what i have been able to find out is that the CCD chip has either burned out, or become damaged in someway, the later models of our camera can get this problem fixed for free but sadly the offer does not extend as far as us, comet will charge £95 to fix our problem and jessops will send it off to HQ for £25 before giving us a price for fixing (manager estimated around £100) i think its going to be cheaper to abandon the camera and upgrade to a newer model as sad as this is. if you know of anywhere that will repair for cheeper please message me back.

If it is brand new and came with a warranty, return it. I hope the symptoms are continuous(not intermittent).

When u power up the computer press "del" or F2 key then check your harddisk is detected or not.
Also load optimal defaults settings.
then restart the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode.then change screen resolution to 1024*768.

This happened to me to. You might want to download the newest media player...and its codecs. I got the newest flv player and it seems to work well. Google FLV player. It seems to play many formats.

Hi, check the lense. It might be dirty or you may have left the lense cover down.
